Shoulder Pain

Recommended Posts

I have had surgery twice and both times it came with shoulder pain. It's totally normal. I stopped taking my pain meds the day of surgery because I was violently throwing up everything I drank.

Is anyone having pain in their left side? I'm not sure where my port is and I don't like poking around my incisions (weak stomach with cuts, blood  ), so this may be why my side hurts, but it could be gas too. My shoulder hurts, but Aleve helps with this. I have been taking Gas X strips regularly and they sort of help.

I have the same problem as anume. I am almost six months post op and still get wicked left shoulder pain from time to time. It usually lasts 10-15 mins and nothing relieves the pain-except time. It is the result of eating too quickly/too much. In my case, I don't get the sensation until a few minutes after I've eaten. So if this happens to you down the road, you'll know why.

Thank you for letting me know the cause of this! It has been driving me crazy!

I'm 5 days on from my surgery and tonight I got this awful pain where i think my band is. Below my ribs on the left? It feels like its knocking against something or rubbing. I am constipated and was worried I put a little too much effort in in the bathroom. I have taken some pain killers, enough to usually numb everything but every time I move it hurts. It's 2:30am in Aus and I'm trying to decide if I should page my surgeon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
