  4. I was pretty strong before surgery now I get winded just walking to the neighbor's house. I am so glad I found this conversation, I feel a little better, I'm eight days post op and still can do so little without getting exhausted.

  7. I just got home from the imaging center. On the way home my doctor called me and said there are no blood clots in my legs! Yay! She said to drink lots of water and take the prescription narcotic again before bed. Now I'm exhausted from just that little trip but later am going to get my pickle juice. Thanks all!!!!!!!
  8. I mentioned my leg cramps to my nurse friend at my surgeon's office and now I'm off to the Imaging Center for an ultrasound. I guess post surgery leg cramps could be a sign of a blood clot. I'm sure it's not. I just need some Vlasic juice and agua. I'm on my way so will let ya'll know what they say later.

  15. Oops, and forgot to mention I was banded a week ago.
  16. Second night in a row I am up at 3-ish in the morning with leg cramps. This happened before when I was on the Atkins diet. Anyone else? Any tips? I take liquid vitamins and eat half a banana a day for extra potassium, I am certain I am not getting as much sodium that I need because I am craving salty food.
  17. I took my liq hydrocodone, doused my shoulder in bio freeze and laid down w the heating pad and pain is goneeeee Thank you JeSUS!!!
  18. so much good advice, thanks everyone! I'm hungry & headachy & shaky & angry lol nice to know I'm not alone
  19. thank you all for this post, my surgery was the 5th too and I'm in agony with this shoulder. I've been walking, been chugging the water, sprayed it with bio-freeze and now I think I'm going to dip into the pain meds. I told my husband that I regretted having the surgery today because of this shoulder pain and the "reverse burps" when I drink which aggravate the shoulder Reverse burps are a bubble going down instead of up but I have like a hiccup at the same time-yowza. I know I truly don't regret it but ^%$@@$&()_^*#@ it hurts!
  20. I have an eating question too because I have been soooo hungry on my liquid diet. Today I went to Panera and got Broccoli Cheddar soup, took it home and strained it and finally my hunger headache went away, its been keeping me up at night. So Carley K, you say that you won't be able to drink a whole Atkins shake, I can and do. I don't have any fluid in my band yet so as I understand it liquids would pass right through the pouch to the larger stomach area. I guess I'm asking to see what everyone else's hunger level is on the post op two week liquid diet. If I'm off the charts hungry then maybe my band slipped while I was sick after surgery. Just being paranoid.

  25. headacheheadacheheadache not sure if its a hungry headache or a caffeine headache but I don't know what to take! I'm damned. My headache pill of choice was Excedrin, then they recalled it. Then I switched to a cocktail of Aleve and caffeine and I'm pretty sure the PA told me not to take Aleve anymore like I'm seeing here in this post. Does regular tylenol work on headaches?

  28. We should, for fun, make up responses to that comment. 1.) (the mean response) Oh thank you, and just think how people will actually listen to you after a few breath mints. 2.) (the I'm going to try to make you feel bad response) Oh thank you, I actually thought I looked beautiful today as I am. (sniff sniff) 3.) (espanol) Lo siento, no habla ingles, jerk. any others come to mind? I mean, I would never say any of them, usually I just agree with them. lol wuss.
  29. Passive aggressive much, Amy? lol Tasha-girl, DO YOU. Do what is going to work for you and best of luck to all. Even Amy who is on her own journey as well. I liked the idea of the sleeve because it cuts out the part of your stomach that hides the dreaded HUNGER HORMONES... work it... own it..
