I feel like I am making pretty good progress...sometimes wishing it would go a little faster...but progress is progress.

May 22 = 250.5 pounds (Pre-surgery diet)

May 29 = 235 (surgery date)

June 5 = 230 (one week post-op)

July 4 = 220

Total lost = 30 pounds since May 22 :-)

Wondering how others are doing that we're banded on May 29 (or close to).

Just curious...not to compare...because I am damn happy with my progress. It has not been easy, but I knew it wouldn't be. I'm actually glad it is something I have to work for. I feel more accomplished that I am constantly battling what to eat, how much to eat, and working out. So far, the Lap Band has just been a tool, which is what I wanted!

I have bad days just like everyone else, but I focus on all the good days.

I was banded 5/8. It sounds like you're making amazing progress! Be proud of yourself. :) i am not weighing myself. I get my weight at the monthly fill appointment. I'm focusing on food choices and listening to my body. So far no problems and am happy with my progress.

I wAs banded on 29th of May also since surgery I'm only down 18 pounds but I'm working out almost five days a week I did 20 miles of cardio last week so that's more then I have done on years. I'm scared the scale isn't going down fast enough but I can tell in my clothes that I'm losing

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
