Feeling Down.

Recommended Posts

I was banded on 7/11/12, things have been going really well and have felt vet optimistic and upbeat ever since the surgery, until today that is. I don't know if its just feeling run down since going back to work, who knows. Anyone else feel this way?

Hi Sarie,

i got banded on 5/29 and after being at home for 2 wks, i thought i was ready to go back to work... NOT! i was fine throughout the day but as soon as i got home i layed down just to kind of rest and of course 2 hours later i realized that i fell asleep! i guess my body needed, i did that for the first week i was back at work and felt that i needed it! listen to your body and rest! I feel much better now that i have also started on my solids, i feel like i have all of this energy so i take 1/2 hr walks just to burn it off.. It'll get better! ;)

Be sure to take Vitamins, drink plenty of fluids and get some rest. You are still healing. I assume your surgery was 07/01 since 07/11/12 isn't here yet. LOL It is normal to feel run down and tired.

Good luck!

Body goes thru physical and emotional changes. Hang in there and take the ride. I was banded in 2010. It is truly a journey of ups and downs, high energy and no energy. Seek support and take care of yourself.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
