What Is A Standard Allergen Band?

Recommended Posts

Today my doctor told me I had an average standard band.

Allergan has 2 sizes, a 10 and a 14. Not sure what he considers standard. Hopefully you didn't get an old one if he wouldn't tell you the size.

I was told the surgeon chooses the best size for you... Higher BMI and men usually get larger band according to my counselor, but ultimately up to surgeon.

Most likely it means you have the 10cc band.

The original band was 4cc. They now come in 10cc (standard) and 14cc (large). If you have the Allergan ID card it tells which one you have on the back.

I agree with Cindy C, you probably have a 10cc band. Karen

Allergan's AP Standard (APS) band is their 10CC band. The AP Large (APL) is 14CC. I believe they are the only two bands that Allergan manufactures these days. Some of their 4CC bands are still being placed in countries other than the US.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
