You are eating too many calories a day. Your doctor should have set how much you should be eating and it should be around 1000. It is going to take time to stop thinking about food and it may never go away. I try to stay busy, drink 0 calorie drinks and when food comes in my head I ask myself " I'm I hungry?" and if it is no than I don't eat. If you find yourself eating more because you are hungry more it is time for a fill. Don't wait for you to reach a goal weight, you can cause your band to slip. I don't understand the one lady that is waiting to reach her goal before she gets a fill. That is not the intent of the band but, if she and her doctor are in agreement then i guess that's all that matters.

I think it really depends for everyone, my doctor told me that i was not eating enough, i should eat 1800 calories per day because i do sport an hour a day. I'm getting my second fill next week, and i lost 3 lbs last week (finaly!!!) so i'm confident now!

I am really active too and I got pregnant after I had my surgery and my doctor has never told me to go over 1200 calories a day. I eat 125g of Protein or more a day because I am so active. I'm not saying that my way is the right way, I'm just a little puzzled by why you are eating so much calories after having this surgery? I think it is wonderful that you have lost weight and congrats to you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
