I started the pre-op diet of 2 Protein Shakes and one small meal of Protein and green veggies yester. I'll be on it for 2 weeks. Post-op it's 2 weeks of full liquids which include items like sugar-free pudding, strained creamy broths, yogurt etc. I can't remember if grits and oatmeal are in this stage....but I think so.

I was on shakes for two weeks. 3 a day. I like the EAS chocolate carb control ready to drink Protein Shakes. It seems like a long time but when you go onto food it tastes so good.

I have tried several different shakes and the one that I like best is Premier Protien Shakes. They are ready to drink and the vanilla is yummy. The pre diet kinda sucks and just know that you will go thru carb and caff withdrawls (makes you grumpy and gives you a headache) But it will pass, just don't forget to drink lots of Water. My new slogen is "Just go with it". The less you fight it, the easier it will be =0) Good luck to you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
