Liquid Diet

I don't have a date yet for my surgery, but I am supposed to get it in March. I wanted to know on average how long is the liquid diet supposed to last? I wanted to know if anyone has began the liquid diet and if so how much weight have you lost so far?teeth_smile.gif

Seems like the average is two weeks and try to lose ten...mine just told be to lose ten but gave no time frame or restrictions on what to eat. I lost 8 I think.

I started the pre-op diet of 2 protein shakes and one small meal of protein and green veggies yester. I'll be on it for 2 weeks. Post-op it's 2 weeks of full liquids which include items like sugar-free pudding, strained creamy broths, yogurt etc. I can't remember if grits and oatmeal are in this stage....but I think so.

I dont have a date yet. I been trying shakes before, i still have the GNC chocolate one and some others i dont mind the taste but 2 weeks nothing but shakes that doesnt sound like its goin to be easy ......001_huh.gif

NOT going to be easy .....lol NOT is the word thats missing .sorry

I was on shakes for two weeks. 3 a day. I like the EAS chocolate carb control ready to drink protein shakes. It seems like a long time but when you go onto food it tastes so good.

I have tried several different shakes and the one that I like best is Premier Protien Shakes. They are ready to drink and the vanilla is yummy. The pre diet kinda sucks and just know that you will go thru carb and caff withdrawls (makes you grumpy and gives you a headache) But it will pass, just don't forget to drink lots of water. My new slogen is "Just go with it". The less you fight it, the easier it will be =0) Good luck to you.

Monday is my big dy to start my 2 shakes and smll meal. I know I can do this.
