Hello fellow bandsters! been over a year since my last check in.no fills weight is staying around 225-230 range.ive gained 26lbs lean muscle since banded.......im not skinny by any means and ive been pushing food through with Water and i shouldnt. im lifting heavy 7 days a week and if i dont drink/eat 200 grams protien a day my muscles dont grow. body fat % is 18 now. id like to say its all because of the lap band but that would be a lie,the lap band has been a great tool but its been an overall lifestyle change that has worked for me! eat less,do more!post-122680-0-78991100-1396111860_thumb.jpg

Hello! I was banded on the 14th and im down 25lbs! im eating around 900-1000 calories a day.No pain anymore,a little stiff from being on the couch but ready to get back to it! very glad i did the band! I went to my primary care and and she was more excited for me than i am!Although my apetite is coming back and the weight isnt falling off like it was the first 2 weeks im feeling a ton better! I get my first fill in 2 weeks! Very excited!

Hey Brent! I read that you are training and I also do weight lifting. I know I have gained some muscle but have recently gotten a fill. Just curious how you maintain consuming so much Protein? What are you eating or what supplements are you using?

Thanks Melissa

Protein powder! and lots of it! optimum nutrition gold standard protein powder.im spending 2 to 2.5 hours a daybetween cardio and HEAVY weights 7 days a week! for me the key was raising my base metabolic rate from 1800 a day to 2400.more muscle =more calories burned.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
