My scale isn't moving either. I have to kick myself into gear and start exercising again. I know I can get these last 19 pounds off, I just need to get myself focused again.

Hello Everyone! It's been a while since I've checked in. I"ve been wondering how everyone is doing and I see that I'm not alone in the "no exercise" department. I've had a lil trouble and ended up in the hospital but I'm now ready to get back on track. I had to be completely unfilled but now am at 3cc which is not enough but better than nothing. I have gained back 6 lbs but will get it off again!!

This past year has had its ups and downs and it hasnt been easy, BUT I can tell yall that I DO NOT regret this surgery at all!! I feel great and shopping is FUN! I would like to post pictures but just haven't taken the time to figure out how. I'm 50lbs down from my highest and according to my dr's chart, I have 10-12 more to go. I can honestly say I'm happy where I am. (just need to firm up!!) I bought size 4 Levis today and they fit very comfortably!!!

Our 1 yr anniversary is fast approaching. How close are you to your goal?

it's been a while since I've been here Hope everyone is doing great.....

I think it's time for another fill I have noticed that I have not been losing weight and I can EAT EAT EAT!

I'm just scared of getting another fill and being to full and start getting stuck again all the time...

So I'll go on Aug 21st to get a very very very small fill and see if that helps jump start my weight loss again...;)

Hi all August Rush bandsters-- I'm down 87 lbs from my all time high, 70 from surgery on 8/4/10. Was at a standstill but joined a new gym 3 weeks ago, so I'm hoping to finally move the scale in the right direction. Still, everything is so much better than last year- health, clothes. joints. 30-35 lbs to go before I'm out of the woods.

No regrets whatsoever, though. All is good!biggrin.gif

Still alive and kicking! Doing well, weight loss still going down. Much slower than before. Trying to get to onderland. It was good to see so many of us still here and working towards our goals despite bumps in the road. Good luck to us all. Bandiversary Aug. 23. :)

Hello everyone :)

When I was getting ready for my surgery almost a year ago, I was on this site for hours at a time. I was so excited and couldn't wait to come on and track my weight loss. Sadly I haven't had any to track. I started at 260 and was 238 on my surgery date. I am currently bouncing back and forth between 219 and 222. I have went down several sizes in clothes and can even sometimes shop in the " regular " sizes. I have had a couple of fills and really want another but I am too ashamed to go back without any weight loss. I am not following any diet ( I know I should be ) I keep bouncing back and forth between weight watchers and adkins. uggh I can eat what I want but I do have some problems in the morning and have to be careful then. I have been working out with my bestie at least 4 days a week and we were also walking 3 miles a day util the heat took over here. ( we are on a 28 day streak of over 101 temps )

I am so upset with myself, I was so ready to do this and it just seems like I can't get into any kind of groove with it.

I really just feel lost.....I know this was my only chance to ever get the weight off.

Hi gang......well, I finally made it to onederland! Tomorrow being my one year aniversary I guess it is a good present! But it is not really a present because I have worked very hard to get here. I have fallen by the wayside a couple two three times, but have managed to get back on track. I will have to say that the best thing I do is journal, and exercise! Everyday I write down everything (well not every day), but just about, and if I'm off track I write down what I did so I remember why I was off track, or I write "free day" which I give myself a couple two-three times a month, depending! I know the rest of the weight will take me a while, cause I am more about getting a routine and making wise choices than hard core dieting....and quite frankly, I can't afford new clothes right now, so I'll just take it slow. I am sitting here in a loose size 14 (I am 5'9") and a form fitting shirt and I have to say it feels really good! I have not been this size in over 16 years. Well all for now, lets all look forward to our next year and even better changes!:Banane04: :Banane04: P.S. I am now only overweight, not obese any more!

How many of you have depression? I do and I have had it since I was 18. Mine sort of cycles though. I have a few good weeks, and then a few weeks where I'm really really depressed. I've been on meds but none of them seem to work all that well. Tomorrow I have an appt with a Psychiatrist because my GP thinks I'm actually Bipolar and not just depressed.

Anyway the point to all this is, when I'm depressed I crave bad things like sugar and I eat too many calories and too much junk because I just lose my mental focus. I wish I could stop this or snap out of it:(

Well, Smom, I think you have done remarkably well. Certainly considering your depressive issues. Keep fighting girl.

I am at 194 pounds, which puts me at 72 down. I would like to get to 175 but am willing to take it a bit slower. I have worked hard and yet, have not really sacrificed all that much. Just eat much smaller portions and do try to limit the worthless calories.

I am not an exerciser, but can see that is what it is going to take to get any more off. I do not want to diet or struggle to maintain, however. I can truly say if I don't make it to 175 I will be okay with that. I do know I can lose more just by continuing my "pretty good" eating and kick up some exercise. I am 59, so don't have the boundless energy of youth. I am thankful everyday that I had this band placed.

I had my last fill on 5/19 and am feeling a bit tight. I pb if I am not quite mindful of how I eat. I really have to eat slow and chew chew chew. If I do that I am good to go and have satiety for a good 5-6 hours. I am too tight to eat in the am, can usually eat after10:30 or so. I was never much of a Breakfast eater anyway, unless it was crap like donuts.

I have gone from a size 22 to a 16 and my hubs thinks I look 10 years younger. I feel great, very few aches and pains and my stamina is great. I am off all blood pressure meds and labs all look great. So I have accomplished what I set out to do. I am not bummed I didn't loose 100 pounds in a year, which so many set themselves up for. Perhaps that ease comes with age?

Good luck to us all.

Bonnie

Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary...can't believe it has been a year already! I was hoping to be in onderland by now, but I will take what I can get since I did have a few set backs. I am down 52 pounds which I am very happy about, I will just stay on track, set more realistic goals and keeping on moving forward, no looking back now!

Happy anniversary to all of you!

I saw a psychiatrist for the first time yesterday. He started me on some new meds and gave me some journaling things to do that should help me. He also made me realize that rather I'm depressed or not I'm still in control. I just need to get ahold on myself and get rid of my bad eating habits. He also stressed how important daily exercise is for my depression. Hopefully I can start changing some things now.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
