Last tango in Fatvile...
Adorable post! You know, I just realized I take a lot of care with my personal appearance whenever I go out. When I am going to my surgeon's? I (whispering) don't eat all day before hand. Now I can justify this by saying I'm going for a fill, but I have something going on with that scale!!! You are doing fantastic; best wishes!!!

Crazy Dreams
That sounds like the kind of dreams we have when we are pregnant? Maybe go online and see what they mean. I'm not a professional, but I'm just interpreting these that you are excited but concerned about being ready for surgery and recovery. Trust me, you are! Don't worry, be excited!!! :-)

Fat Girl Moment
Love the post! You have done so well! Why is it those stores bake that bread at 4pm just when we are hungry, getting off work and need a quick addition to a meal? It is really unfair advertising lol.

Just looking for an excuse to brag
You look fantastic! Congratulations on your success :-)

My first fill..,
Give it some time. It seemed to me that it took a couple days to feel anything. Don't stray from liquids (if that is what doc said); you'll do great. Congrats on getting to this step! :-)

What should I do?
I saw that show once. It seems like a pretty cruel show, but it shows observers as they really are. I don't think I'm alone in saying I've had some horrible things said to me and around me and people with me at the time have not even come to my rescue or defense. I think, more than anything, that is a sad commentary on people as much as obesity. Sad.

First Plane Ride Post Surgery!!!
Today I fly to San Francisco; back tomorrow afternoon. I have a meeting in the morning in Union Square. My hotel is there, and for the first time I'm taking BART (train) from the airport to my hotel. I'm also planning on taking the trolley from the hotel down to the pier which has great food, beautiful views and some walking opportunities. The sun will start to set around 9, and I don't want to be out there myself so I'll head back at sunset. I'm excited to be confident enough to plan this (execution? I'm pretty sure). I'm home this morning packing, working and getting in some cardio. I had an appointment with my new trainer at 5am and I slept through it. I NEVER do that. I called at 5:20 and he answered and I tried to get in at 6 but he couldn't so that is wasted time/money and motivation. I meet with him again on Sunday morning. Instead of being mad I stayed up and started doing stuff around the house. I have plenty of time to work out before I go to the airport. Two concerns are fitting easier in the seats and no belt extender. I really only used a belt extender on commuter flights, and this is one of those so I'll be excited to see how that goes. Get home tomorrow at 4:30 and support group starts at 6. That may not sound bad, but its rush hour and traffic that way will mean 90 minutes to go the 20 miles will be a stretch. Funny. I'm not stressing on the trip at all! Thank you all for your fantastic support, and listening to me throughout the last 11 weeks (wow! today!). I sincerely appreciate your recommendations, support and courage throughout the way!

Green Zone Update
Thank you for the update! I'm sorry you had to pay to get that, but you did get really good information. I think I'm like you -- probably closer to green than my head says I am -- and just not really "eating" right. Good luck to you :-). Go Green!!!!!

Don't Worry ~ Be HAPPY!
Its hard sometimes to remember and do, and it seems as if stressful situations sometimes rule our lives. Stress doesn't help us in our journey to be healthy. All the more reason to "give it to God". Thank you for the reminder :-)

My Medical Dr.
I was there too, in a way. I had to get a referral from my PCP to a gastro to give me a referral to a bariatric surgeon. Had to see both before referrals, and that took a month. Looking back it wasn't so bad but I remember being very frustrated. Keep the faith, it will be soon enough!

uuugggghhhhh
You'll get through the frustrations. It seems like there are a lot of barriers, but you are strong and you can overcome them! Best of luck.........

It's the end of the world as we know it....and I feel fine!
I agree with Christie. Some days its a pain in the butt, other days you can see a smaller butt! All the best to both of you!

HELP!!! Feeling a little hungry
Make sure you are getting your water in also. And you need to get comfortable with feeling a little hungry -- have to learn how to feel hungry, full, getting full..... all over again. I like sugar free jello, popsicles or pudding. Good luck! Keep up the good work..............

How can this be???
I went in for my third fill Friday. I was definitely experiencing exactly what you describe, but with 7.25ccs in the band after two fills. I could eat, but slowly because things were getting stuck. Turns out I eat too slow! The PA told me to make sure I get the Protein and whatever else I can within 20 minutes. Otherwise food is starting to go through the pouch and I'm starting the process over. I mentioned everything seems to get stuck first bites. She recommended about 2 bites of applesauce or hot tea to "wake up" the band and then start with food. I started Saturday morning and seem to have success with this. Although I'm hungry before four hours, its at least closer to 3, 3 1/2 and I can't eat more than a cup of food anymore. Good luck to you!

Ahh!!

Updated pics
You are a crazy woman if you don't see any change! (Said in a supportive way). Your face is thinner, your legs and body look thinner! Thanks for the updates! I'm not doing pictures that often -- I'll do some at the end of August when my daughter is here to visit.
