Hi, I am currently not on the lap band but i am 80% sure that i want to get it for my health..I only have one problem, i am afraid that my family will not be that supportive of me getting it.. I think they are afraid of surgery..  I am currently in school to become a nurse but i don't think i can do that at my weight, i know the complications that can come from getting major surgery but i am willing to take that step in making myself a healthier person. When it comes down to it, the decision will be mine, but i wish i can have my family there not to approve of it, but to be supportive of my decision.
