  1. Jumping in here. CBD isnt like THC, the chemical in marijuana that gets you high. I'm not sure they could fire you for taking CBD, but you know best.
  2. The best advice I heard was to be patient with your body and the weight loss, and follow your plan as provided by your medical team. Good luck, you got this!!
  3. Thank you! I hadn't thought of GasX or probiotics! Great ideas.
  4. Thank you! I also suspect I have lactose intolerance and broccoli intolerance LOL!
  5. On the subject of possible trolls, it is curious that OP's screen name is Alvinchicago, which sounds like a male, yet she refers to herself as a woman. I'm not convinced this post is real...
  6. Quick background. Im 2 months post gastric bypass, and have been on protein shakes only this whole time due to a stricture. I'm just starting to have pureed foods. I blended up some homemade vegetable soup, which included broccoli, and took 2 Beano pills, but boy, the volume of gas is tremendous! Everything I try to eat gives me gas. Any suggestions?
  7. Hi, and welcome! Read all you can on here. Lots of good advice.
  8. I hear the weight loss is slower, but I have not had a revision. There are tons of posts on here asking about revision. Have a look around and you'll probably find your answers. Good luck.
  9. I've never heard of a mammogram being required prior to surgery, but all surgeons are different.
  10. Are you weighing and measuring everything you eat and staying within the required volume you're allowed to have? Perhaps you are just eating too much of the purees. Try limiting them to 1/4 cup and see how that goes. Then increase if you're allowed to. Good luck.
  11. If you are following your team's plan for you for food amounts and stages you'll be just fine. I gained weight, 10 pounds, from the IVs in the hospital, so it took me a week to lose the water weight. At 10 days out I was still on protein shakes only, no food, so I don't know about that. I would measure and weigh everything, and only eat the amount you're allowed to eat. Good luck.
  12. Hi. I have Bipolar disorder type 1, and a past history of anorexia, so I was very worried as well about not getting approved. It went very well, and I wad approved. All the psychiatrist wanted to know was if I was stable on my meds. (I was, and I never had any manic episodes), and if I had support for after the surgery. I was completely honest with her, and it went fine. Best of luck to you!
  13. Yes! I have a stricture and have been dilated 4 times. Once a week for 4 weeks, the most recent was this past Friday. Now we wait 4 weeks before the next one to see how it is healing. I feel so much better now than I did. My surgeon also mentioned redoing the connection, but now I think he won't have to. Pm me if you want, and best wishes to you.
  14. Hi, and welcome! What are their requirements for BMI and comorbidities? What is your BMI? What does your surgeon's team say about the likelihood of getting approved??
  15. Is anyone having trouble with the mobile app today, or is it just me? When I click on the tab for all posts, or unread posts it comes up blank.
  16. Great! Your post is inspiring!! What an awesome trip!!
  17. I know you're afraid of a negative answer from them, but the best thing is to just call your insurance company and get all your questions answered. Good luck. You can do it!!
  18. My team gives you the lab slip at the 4 month checkup to get done by the 6 month checkup.
  19. I agree with catwoman7. The only thing I don't take extra of is iron, as my bariatric multivitamin has around 45 mg. I take the multi vitamins, calcium citrate with D, and a sublingual B12. I had the bypass.
  20. Well, I had bypass, but yes, I was using my CPAP before surgery and still use it after my surgery. No gas, burping or farting! I think you'll be fine.
  21. Thanks all!! It does feel soo wonderful!
  22. After bouncing around between 200 and 201 for a few days, I finally hit onderland today!! 199.2!!!! It feels fantastic [emoji4]
