Hi. I’m 5’4 210 pounds. I have bcbs of ri. I had my psyc visit. I have done 4 of the 6 nutritional visits. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I am a worrier and saying to myself is there any reason for my insurance will deny me. So nervous. I hate waiting another 2 months to see if they approve or deny me.

Hi, and welcome! What are their requirements for BMI and comorbidities? What is your BMI? What does your surgeon's team say about the likelihood of getting approved??

I meet all the criteria’s. Bmi above 35 with high blood pressure. The dr said I should have no problem but I have been reading stories and getting nervous.

I'm a worrier too. I worried right up to the morning of surgery that something would happen to make my surgeon cancel my surgery. Even had nightmares about it. BUT all went smoothly and here I am on the other side of it all. Try to stay positive and don't let the worries get you down.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
