  1. Thanks I will also try that.
  2. Ok, as far as vanity for hair loss I tried Xfusion which really hides thinning hair. I ordered it from amazon and it is pretty reasonable.
  3. How far post op are you? Maybe you and your daughter can make cookies and give them away to other moms?? So you can't eat your way through mothers day, but think of all you do have. Maybe you can take some of those cookies to a nursing home, if not for lonely residents, I'm sure there are a lot of working moms on duty tomorrow.
  4. I would try to stick with water and Gatorade for a while. Try to stay away from dairy including protein drinks for the next day or two. I hope you feel better soon.
  5. Congrats. I know it feels like forever, but before you know it may 31 will be here. I would suggest practacing with the slow eating, the whole chewing 30 times takes some getting used to.
  6. I've never had this happen. Does it happen when you do a specific kind of exercise. For example are you lifting or doing cardio??
  7. Yes, I'm sure it's the meds. Now that I am only taking my vitamins I no longer detect the funky smell. It's a small price to pay.
  8. I was told by my nut that I can have 3 meals and 2 snacks. I do eat my snacks, I need them. I am 7 weeks post op, and I feel like I'm adjusting to eating smaller meals, as that also helps with metabolism.
  9. Well all you can do is look forward now. Now you know no soda. And as much as you think you feel no restriction, not being able to eat as much is restriction. You are back on the right track, and just for the record 39 pounds is 39 pounds. Now you realize you are not done with loosing. Now you must get back into loosing mode. So stick with proteins, stay away from sliders, and try to log onto my fitness pal. Just so you can keep track and can become more conscious of what you are eatting. Best of luck.
  10. Looking good, keep up the good work.
  11. I totally understand we live in a society of instant gratification. What ever weight I loose it doesn't seem to be fast enough. But I refuse to become obsessed with my weight so I only weigh in once a week.
  12. So I've been in a stall for 3 weeks, so now I am tryi g to increase my calorie intake, i am 6 weeks post op. my usual calorie intake is 800 a day. So today I was able to increase my intake to about 1100 calories. My question is how long do I have to do this for. lso for those of you wondering I have started a exercise regiment of 45 min walking a day.
  13. It sounds good, it's worth a try. Best of luck.
  14. My surgeon was so against that to the point if we gained weight he would cancelled the surgery. So even if I wanted to I was way to scared to.
  15. Chew your food 30 times. I like to wait a full minute after chewing before I take another bite.
  16. Yes, I spend so much more time here vs Facebook.
  17. Happy birthday. Do something that is all you. My birthday is coming up soon and I told my husband I want to go bike riding along the lake front. Do they have carriage rides near by, or how about a boat ride. Depends where your at.
  18. Congrats...keep up the good work. I thought I wanted carbonated drinks, then I had a sip of apple juice. It was watered down and still so freaking sweet. I cant imagine drinking sugar...I mean soda. Lol.
  19. Protein shakes have never agreed with me, I tend to get in all my protein via food.
  20. Have no fear, soon you will post op, and loosing, then you will see all your sacrafices have been worth it.
  21. Don't panic, your body is prob just adjusting to all the recent changes. The scale will go down.
  22. Yippie... Your going to have a slendering summer.

Breath and relax. You need to drink your fluids being dehydrates can get you back in the hospital just as easily. Think positive. Best of luck.
  24. Awesome. 50 pounds that's a lot of weight. Keep up the good work.
