I need help guys today is my birthday and I am 10 days post op. Every year we went out to my favorite restaurant and a movie, but now I need a new tradition. This is my second birthday without my mom and it's already an emotional day I just want to do something special. Any suggestions?

Go to a salon with a couple of girl friends, get a massage, mani, pedi, etc. You'll feel like a million bucks and really enjoy a good movie! Happy birthday!

Well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Why not still go to the movies? Just take away the restaurant part. And what a great birthday gift you've already given yourself. Maybe you and the girls in the family can go get manicures and pedicures? Have a mini makeover day? No matter what, just think about how awesome your "New Year" is going to be.

I agree with the others; do something for YOU for this birthday. A pedicure is a wonderful indulgence and will make you feel SO much better. I'm sorry about your mother. I know how hard that one is, especially when you're early post-op. You're in the same spot I was last year, having a birthday while still on liquids. Just know that your mother is an angel in heaven who is watching over you and she IS proud of you, even more so because you're making such positive changes in your life!

Happy birthday. Do something that is all you. My birthday is coming up soon and I told my husband I want to go bike riding along the lake front. Do they have carriage rides near by, or how about a boat ride. Depends where your at.

do you have some place local to go for a walk. Zoo, park, Botanical Garden...
