  2. I'm so in on this one. My current weight is 245.4 Goal weight for challange 235 So I hope to loose 10 pounds and kick up my exercise to 5 days a week and move from walking to jogging.
  3. I think you should get in the habbit of eating regular meals, with the exception of being much smaller. You certainly don't want to starve yourself, which sounds like you may be doing now.
  4. Wow...that's great. Keep up the good work.
  5. Disney teach....as far as shoes for bigger people you should really invest in a good pair of running pair of shoes or two, because it is actually best to rotate shoes. If I'm not mistaken your from the Chicagoland area, you should check out fleetfeet. It's a store that specializes in everything running. They are really great in helping pick out which shoes are best for your walking/running pattern.
  6. Wow you look great. Keep up the good work!!!
  7. Just remember everyday it gets a little better and easier. Hope you feel better.
  8. My surgeon doesn't do the stage 1 so I was discharged on mushies. So I was on stage 3 6 weeks out. I don't have much room for fruit either, if I see that I'm good with my protein. I will allow one of my snacks to be a piece of fruit. But I rarely get to eat it, because I usually need all my room for protein.
  9. Put a posative spin on it....maybe you should wait until you loose more weight and get an upgrade ring or speaking as a wife get upgraded rings. I know it's not cheap that's why maybe that can be your goal gift to your self.
  10. Best of luck to you on both of your surgeries, hope you have a speedy recovery. Please remember to keep us posted on your progress. You will be in my prayers.
  11. To be honest I was off work for 1 month, and I pretty much slept that month away. My body was just so tired, so I think what your body is going thru is normal.
  12. I say if you are gonna have carbs fruit is the way to go.. However you really need to wait until your cleared. I didn't get to eat fruits until stage 3. When I did crave fruit I did drink juice, but that really didn't do the trick as the juices were just way to sweet.
  13. I actually am eatting a piece of steak ham, it's super high protein. It fills me up and does the trick.
  14. You had ur surgery 10 days before me, and I eat about 800 calories. So I'd say your right on track.
  15. Good luck. It sounds like you have great support in your fiancé.
  16. I also had that problem. I had to change over to gummy vitamins, per my surgeon it is not a problem.
  17. It sounds cool to me. I would totally do that id it was avail in Chicago.
  18. Good luck to both of you..
  19. Ahhh... I love this forum. You guys are great. It's Awsome to know that we are not alone in our struggles.
  20. Yes, my surgeon and anesthesiologist said I had to be off the phentermine for at least 30 days, because of the whole heart rate thing. I would say to avoid it just to be on the safe side.
  21. Practice eating slow and chewing ASAP. I didn't realize how much of a challenge this would be postop. I wish I would have made the adjustment pre op.
  22. I don't wait. I don't know if that's right or wrong.
  23. Great job. Keep up the good work.
  24. You are doing great. 21 pounds in a month is amazing. I've never felt the significance of pre and post op weight, a pounds is a pound.
