  1. Yes, don't Compare yourself to others. You prob retained a lot of fluids from the iv's in the hospital. Consistancy is the key, make sure you keep hydrated, as hard as it may be also try to get your protein in.
  2. I love watching the food network. I say if he's not in pain he's prob fine as far as eating fast. Besides pudding and soup are pretty much slider foods so they go down easy. And as far as the water, I think the whole sip, sips, sip thing is for those who have much discomfort digesting fluids, but if he's able to tolerate gulping fluids that's fine, I never really had to sip.
  3. You are doing great, remember this is not a miracle cure, but the next best thing. It does take time, but your numbers are great.
  4. That's great....glad to hear your levels are where they should be, so soon after.
  5. I say try little miss divas boot camp, and kick it back to basics for a while, and try and amp up your exercise.
  6. I was able to eat them immediately, but my nut did say some people do have a hard time with them because they make you gassy, and possibly to fiberous??? I hope this makes sense. Anyhow have faith that you willbe able to have them soon.
  7. Way to go, keep up the good work.
  8. Keep up the good work, you'll be just fine.
  9. Glad to hear your doing well.
  10. Wow...you look great. Good job.
  11. Before you know it you will be on the road to recovery....best of luck to you.
  12. Way to go, keep up the good work.
  13. I would suggest trying to do my fitness pal now. It will help you as far as being accountable of what you eat. If you see the amount of calories your consuming you may not do the whole last supper thing as often. I personally feel the sooner you start the healthy transitions the better. I did have a 2 week low carb 1000 calorie diet preop, but even prior to that I really limited myself to how much food I would treat myself to. I suggest starting my fitness pal, start eating slow that is one of the hardest things to do, cut out the soda and juices. If you start these habits now you body will not mourn the loss of food, try to make it as much of a gradual process as possible. You do have a lot of time until your surgery, so try to get rid of a bad habit every 2-3 weeks. Best of luck. Remember you don't need a last super because you will eat again. I'm 2 months out and I can pretty much eat anything, jut small portions.
  14. I get about 800 a day, my nut told me to eat however I need to get to get to 60g of protein, which is about 800. I could easily go higher if I had something not soo good.
  15. I personally eat every 3 hours so about 5-6 times a day. My calories are about 800 a day. It could also be that your on mushies, once I moved to solids I was able to eat foods that filled me up longer. I personally don't care for protein drinks, because the don't fill me up. So I choose to eat all of my protein.
  16. I'm 34 and I feel younger, I also get the whole glowing thing. My aunt did ask me if I was pregnant because I just had a radiant glow about me.
  17. I agree, your tool the sleeve is still there, maybe getting back to basics will help whip your sleeve back into shape. Have you tried little miss diva's boot camp?? Also start logging your food in my fitness pal, make your self accountable for every crumb that goes into your mouth. Putting your body thru surgery should not be taken lightly, so I say at least try getting back to basics before you consider going under the knife again. Best of luck.
  18. Wow those are all great accomplishments. Keep up the good work.
  19. I'm still on oral and have taken it the whole time and im 9 weeks post op. my anesthesiologist did warn me that all the antibiotics I was on the birth control would not e effective for upto 1 month post op. but I have no problems with it at all.
  20. Wow...I can only imagine your humiliation and embarrassment. However it does seem like you did have some angels in disguise, sub as the lady next to you, bless her heart. On the bright side soon you will no longer have this problem.
  21. Yup, it's so hard not to look frumpy when your clothes are to big. What bothers me the most is that I may look frumpy, but I feel great.
