Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

I had my band with dr Chris 7 years ago I lost eight stone and maintained a 21 Bmi easily for years then a regained four after having a slip and then two children very close together. My lapband no longer works and my symptoms are very common in lapbands. Dr Chris is a great surgeon and in four weeks I will be going back to him to have a revision to sleeve.

In my experience of being involved in lots of forums I would say that lap bands now have a high risk of complications and if I was you I would consider gastric sleeve first off which is a better lifestyle choice as you can eat all foods but in tiny portions but doenst have malabsorption like the bypass. With lapbands many people have difficulty eating Proteins I.e meat and fibrous veggies which is not great if you are trying to maintain a healthy balanced diet.

However I am not a doctor and having a lapband helped me lose half my body weight nearly, meet an amazing handsome husband and have two children after being told I would probably not conceive. I don't regret it but I am looking forward to having a better standard of living with the sleeve.

Feel free to ask me any questions x

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
