Are you making yourself throw up? It should stop on its own. Do you have any papaya enzymes you can take?

Walmart has them.

I'm so sorry for you. I know it hurts. Has it stopped now?

I too learned the hard way. Can't eat any bread or tortillas.

Be sure to get some papaya enzymes. I keep a bottle in my purse and at home with all my pills. They don't always work but most of the time they do.

Glad you are feeling better. Unfortunately, trial and error is the only way you will learn what you can tolerate.

I thought papaya enzymes only broke down meat, not bread? do they work on things other than meat?

Greg

That's what I thought too. I bought them but haven't tried them yet.

I got stuck on Monday night, I had a few bites of Roast Beef and a few bites of Pasta, I have been stuck ever since, I tryed drinking hot tea, warm coffee, warm pineapple juice, noting will go down. I have not been able to eat anything or drink since Monday night. Doesn't sound too good to me. I had LB one year ago, this is the first time I have ever had any problems. I also tryed chewing the Papaya tablet. but it just came back up. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you haven't been able to drink since Monday, in my opinion, you need to see your doctor ASAP. Hopefully, you'll just need an unfill, but don't wait because you'll become dehydrated. Sorry this has happened to you.

Bradley18, I agree with Kiz. Also the longer you wait, the tighter you'll feel because dehydration causes the band to get tighter.

Call your doctor now and go get a slight unfill.

I was also under the impression that papaya enzymes were only for meats too. I've seen people recommend them for other foods though. I've used them two or three times, but only when meat wasn't going down comfortably. They worked like a charm. Even though I've rarely needed them, I always keep them in my purse, just in case.

RE: Papaya Enzymes

Contents: Papain (from papaya)

Bromelain (from pineapple)

Amylase

Amia, powdered (gooseberry)

And the bottle reads:

Supports digestion, Papain and Bromelain act to break down Proteins into various amino acids. Amylase breaks down carbohydrates. Amia (gooseberry) supports enzymatic activity.

Hope this info. helps all of you,

Donna

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
