Good morning ladies

It was raining here this morning on the way in to work but I love the rain...it gives me an excuse for a bad hair day.

I don't know about you guys but I am having a hard time finding my mojo. I don't want to get up in the morning...go to work or do much of anything. I need to find some serious strength.

Hope you all had a great weekend. My Monday already started off with a bang..I spilt my tea in my lap on the way to work......I wonder what the rest of the day as to bring.

Okay, I gotta get to work, I will check in later.

Oh Bethany, I hope your day gets better for you. My mojo will be back when the sun comes out. I seem to want to do so much more when it's sunny and warm, that's why this 3 days of rain is getting me down.

I went to WW this morning and am down a few more pounds. Now I wonder how many I will be down when I go to the Docs here soon. I'm hoping for a fill but by my calculations I'm down 8 pounds since my last visit. Not sure he will give me one. I'll talk to him about it.

Forgot I have to fill in for a girl at work this evening. Her daughter has something to do at school and she wanted to know if I could come in and close for her.

Hope Tracy is lucky on her trip.

Crzytchr...I agree. We needed the rain so badly, but it was a lot in a short period of time. I imagine our brown grass will soon sprout up nice and green! What part of Louisiana are you from?

Angela

I am near Baton Rouge. We were lucky enough to escape more rain today, but my yard is sloppy already.

Tracy posted a pic of a winning slot on Facebook, but nothing else. Hell maybe she hit it big and is in Tahiti or something!!! LOL

I had a fabulous weekend. It has been a long time since we just connected and did not feel a need to entertain anyone but ourselves!

I told you about our Saturday!!! We did not drink too much, so felt fine Sunday! We ended up going back to the nursery, and buying more plants, and planting them. Then we met up with my inlaws for lunch, on our way for a ride. We saw them pulling into the Chinese restaurant as we were ready to ride out of town, so we pulled in, bought them lunch, and then took our ride. We rode up to the lake, parked and watched the Water, and boats....sat under a tree, and just relaxed. Then come home, and grilled some burgers, and watched my Sunday night line up!! LOVED it!

We have needed the time for reconnecting for a few weeks, we just never seemed to have time.

While we are sad at how things become with our son, we are completely at peace with how we handled it. We know he needs to see a Dr. and the only way we have to help him do that is to show our disapproval in his actions. Then he has to take it from there. His Mom has these same issues, and he KNOWS that. And he KNOWS she is better on meds. So I feel he is smart, and he is loving, and caring when "up" so he will recognize this soon, and when he does life will be better for not only him but his entire family. We will ALWAYS be here for him. What we won't do anymore is be his dart boards for the pointed words he spews when he is on a "down". I appreciate all the understanding...it is called tough love for a reason, it is really tough to do. Especially when the other side of his family is LOVING the estrangement, and cozying up with them. But when she comes off her meds.....as she always does, things will change again. We just refuse to be part of her constant drama. We like the drama free life!!!

I went and picked up Kinsey. She is swinging in the yar. Then we are going to my parents for a birthday party for my Aunt. This is not my favorite Aunt, so.....am going, but not excited!!! LOL

Early voting is picking up. We stayed really busy today. There are several local races being decided in the primary. Like there are only Republican candidates for Sherrif. So this election will decide it. No one else gets a say! LOL, so some are really out there campaigning. There are a few races that way---keeps us busy anyway.

Still deciding if I am working election day or not.....probably not! If I stay in my little town, I have to work with the same Aunt we are dealing with tonight....no thanks!! And not sure I care to go to the next town.....lazy!!

Well I am off to check the things I am cooking to take. Hope Tracy has a great time, and that Suzanne has good news from her Dr. Look forward to hearing!

I have only spilled my coffee twice this year...both times were the morning of meetings for the instructional leadership team where my elementary supervisors are:unsure: ...Not cool.

Oh, and I haven't really mentioned that there are

6 more days of school left!!

Jeez, Louise, I went looking for a smiley and I never realized that there is a male smiley that is exposing himself:scared2: They change these sometimes, so I don't think he has always been there.

Cindy, you are too funny. Actually he has been there for awhile. I just have never found the proper time to use him. lol.

Kat, so glad to hear that you and Rick had a good time. Drama is something that I tried not to have around here but it always has a way of creeping in.

Home from the Docs and work. Things didn't go well at the Docs office. Well, not all of it was bad. From the last time I had seen him I did lose 10.6 pounds, so that was good. Nikki did tell me that she is fighting the Insurance co. Seems they are giving her all kinds of run around. They want a referral. They want documentation, etc. etc. The Doc said that they suggested that he empty my band. He told them that was not an option. The hernia will not repair itself and needs to be operated on. The Fluid being taken out will only relieve the reflux and not fix it. Beside they would be defeating the purpose of the band then. He said that they will keep at them and get it taken care of but that it will take a little longer. So he asked me if I would like to have some fluid taken out. HELL NO, I said(not really). I told him that I didn't want to do that and he reassured me that he was not going to empty my band, that he just wanted to take out .5cc's, 1 at the most. He said it would be enough to help relieve the reflux but not enough to make me gain weight again. He said I probably wouldn't notice it. So I agreed to have it done. I wasn't a happy perosn when I left. We left there and went to go get some lunch and boy did I find out that I can't eat anymore than I did before. So that's a good thing.

So now it's head to bed time. Gotta work in the morning then take older sis grocery shopping. She's still planning on moving into the apartment next o her in the next week or so. Looks like it will be a good move for her.

Tracy in Tahiti???? I can picture that. Looks good.

A day of sewing and computing. Boy my Ass is sore. :w00t:

MY kind of day :tongue2:

Suzie, I am feeling your pain about the rain. We don't get any for a month and then, bam, rains its butt off for 3 straight days. Now, my yard is a sloppy mess again. I know I shouldn't complain, since the rain was needed, but I would've preferred a nice shower or two, not a torrential downpour.:huh2:

We needed it really bad too! Just dont like when it is so bad you get the scrolling warnings on the TV! It hailed here yesterday evening! Just little pellet size but still!....:scared2:

Tracy...Coushatta!!! One of my favorite places to go! We try and go about twice a year. I seriously believe I could be addicted to gambling, so we have to limit our visits. We go probably 3 or 4 times a year. We love to go. Do you like boudin? If so, you need to take a right at Exit 44 instead of a left....go to Rabidoux's. It is a small store on the left-hand side of the road once you go over the bridge (past the big red barn, near the oak tree....just kidding!) They have the BEST boudin balls I have ever had! OK, so we love the same things. That store rocks and they have the BEST sausage you will ever eat in your life! food Town here in Deer Park sell the sausage now. It is called Richards (reeshard, lol) and trust me, if you ever get it, you will not regret it. Rabideauxs is now in Iowa (i think exit 43) because of the road expansion they moved. The road to coushatta is now 4 lane :)

I hope you win/won big!! We are video poker players as well as blackjack. I won $2500.00 on video poker with a royal flush there about six years ago. My place i used to win big was Harrahs, but Rita ruined that for us :crying:

Comp. rooms and food make your visit even better. I just recently heard you can comp your gas at a station on the property. Have you heard that? I love comps :tt1:. Yes, there is a store called Feather Fuel that you can get anything from there and use your comps! I think you can get anything except Lottery and liquor. It is great!

Good morning ladies

It was raining here this morning on the way in to work but I love the rain...it gives me an excuse for a bad hair day.

Oh my, I think mine are bad hair days every day! I really need to do something but I do not know what yet. Maybe highlights!

I don't know about you guys but I am having a hard time finding my mojo. I don't want to get up in the morning...go to work or do much of anything. I need to find some serious strength. Well, i hear ya! My book is helping with the mental part. I am going to finish the book and apply myself and see what happens. We can do this. Never give up  We are here to help!

Hope you all had a great weekend. My Monday already started off with a bang..I spilt my tea in my lap on the way to work......I wonder what the rest of the day as to bring. Hope the day got better!

Okay, I gotta get to work, I will check in later.

Tracy posted a pic of a winning slot on Facebook, but nothing else. Hell maybe she hit it big and is in Tahiti or something!!! LOL pffft, I wish! LOL It was a quarter machine but it did keep me playing with their money...so that made for a good trip. DH and I won a hundred or 2 here and there and it kept us away from the ATM, so that is a plus! :wink2:

If you havent noticed by now....I am back! :tt2:

We had the BEST time. Not coming home rich but we are not poor either so that is a good thing!

Today is the day we have to get rid of our male cat. He will be rehomed somewhere....hopefully the lady that used to be our neighbor will take him. She feeds all the neighborhood cats and I am sure she will LOVE him. Keep your fingers crossed.

I am SO sleepy this morning. My hip and right leg are giving me fits too. After I drink my 2nd cup of coffee I may be able to swallow a pain pill. I will try.

Today seems like Monday to me sice we just got home yesterday. I am all screwed up now.

I think I will take my meds and go back to bed. I will holla at you all later. Its good to be back!

Good Afternoon,

Suzie, congratulations on the weight loss!! I am so happy for you. Hopefully your reflux issues will ease. By the way, are you near the "Pay What You Want Panera's?" I am not sure how that concept is going to work for them??

Tracy, how funny! I am glad you told me about them moving. They had a store on the left hand side of Exit 44 going towards Coushatta and then they tore that one down. Someone told us about the one going the other direction and now....they've moved again? LOL...They can run...but they can't hide! I will have to try that sausage. I zero in on the boudin balls!!

I have never been one for gambling on the boats. I have nothing against smokers, but the boats tend to smell like a smoke pit to me and I usually leave with a huge headache. It doesn't seem like they are very ventilated (or maybe it's just me?).

I am fly-by posting. I need to go get my kiddo from school. Have a great day!!

Hey. Guess what???????????

The Pool is Open.

We got the cover off and am now adding more Water to it. That will be all for the day. We will wait till this weekend to hook the hoses up and get it fully functioning. Hopefully monday or tuesday we can start the heater and have it ready by Memorial Day weekend. Summers almost here.

I woke up this morning starving. That was at 4:30am. I fought it off till 9:30 and I stopped on my way over to get my sis at Sonic and got a Breakfast burrito. I only ate half of it and threw the rest away. Yes, I said I threw the rest away. I'm so proud of myself. That held me off for about 4 1/2 hours. I thought that was excellent. I was really worried that I was going to regret having any Fluid taken out. So far I'm ok with it.

Hope you are all having a good day.

Welcome back Tracy and I'm with you, where the heck is Jenn????

Hey ladies~

Went to lunch with Marie today--it is always good! We are not going to be able to the next month it seems, so, enjoyed today! She is gone on vacation for the next 3 weeks---going Jenn's way---to NY, which is where she is originally from. Then we have trips planned....so lunch is gonna be hit & miss for awhile.

Found out today they moved MIL's biopsy up to this Friday. So hopefully they get moving quickly, and have a plan in action so we know what is or is not going to be ok as far as her trips go, and how she will be feeling etc.

Also got the news that FIL's issue is not resolved, so they have to do the roto rooter thing again, which just seems to cause more problems than it helps----dunno what to think about that. SIL is unhappy I cannot take them. Everyone is used to me being off and at their beck and call, and now, I am commited to this job through the end of the month, and will do my best to honor that commitment.

Was cloudy here all day but no rain. Blah---but I got a LOT done here at home! I would not allow myself to turn on the TV or the computer when I got home, until things got done!! LOL, I know myself well!

Tracy, glad you had a good time! I am ready to get away. This weekend reawakened my NEED for time with Rick doing things WE want. Even if it is work, and we are together!

Manda saw the ortho today, she is headed for some PT, and hoping to get movement back. If she damaged the nerve leading to the deltoid, then she has permanently crippled her arm! She is pretty shook up. Her sister on her Dads side graduates tonight, and she is off to meet her newest nephew (her other sisters 3rd son). She bought Kinsey the cutest halter style maxi dress! Has a little wooden ring in the front, and is a swirl of pinks and lilacs---she looked so cute!

Angela I am the same way, the smoke gets to me, and ends up making me leave, long before I am really "ready"!!!

Cindy---I have seen the flashing nanner smiley! Took me a few to realize what I was actually seeing!!!

Rick is working late....so I am off to find myself some dinner. Will check in later!

Kat, I just love how you and your friend Marie get to spend some time together. That's so neat. Also I will keep you in-laws in my prayers. I know how you feel about the family. Mine also thinks I should be at their beck and call. I went thru a little of it with my sister today. She thinks I sit here at the house doing nothing but waiting for her to call so I can jump in my car and go cater to her. Drives me crazy.

Hubby and I just spent a really nice evening sitting out on the deck with the kitties listening to the Royals ball game. I put some hot dogs on the grill. He gets the bun-length regular dogs and I get the turkey dogs. I have eaten them for years and now find I can't do regular dogs anymore. Funny thing.

Gonna finish up watching DWTS and then head to bed. I have to work in the morning. We have a girl on vacation and I'm filling in for her. Then I have a docs appointment. My 6 month kidney check up.

Night everyone.

Night everyone.

I watched dwts and I must say that Miley's performance made me slightly sick. It disgusts me how, at age 17, her parents don't seem to have a problem with her singing about not being tamed and parading around in outfits like that. I believe it was last year she was dancing on a stripper pole at an awards show at the age of 16. This makes me sad.

On a better note, the correct person went home and I can't wait for the finale next week. The only thing I HATE about Tuesday night's is that I have DWTS, Biggest Loser and GLEE that are on at the same time!!!:w00t: I missed who was voted off on biggest loser. Anyone want to help me out so I will know when I get up in the morning?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
