Sorry for posting so many threads but would mac n cheese be alright for a mushy/puréed food? Cause that kind of cheese sounds good right now it's the microwavable kind by kraft could just purée it?

have no idea how far out you are - but i don't see how Pasta could be considered a mushy.

were you given post op food guidelines? i'm a Pasta girl; but waited a LONG time before diving in, and cheese - i get that too as i love queso. but there is a time for all that, i would think if your in mushy stage - you should find other food sources; check w/your nutritionist???

Mac 'n cheese is on MY doc's mushy list. Also lasagna. But you need to follow whatever your doc and/or nut told you. Good luck!

Be careful of the mac and cheese you microwave I read on here a while ago someone had problems with it because of the way the noodles cook in the microwave. Just FYI would'nt want you to have problems.

At that stage I was very weak and had some of the same symptoms as you do. I needed something to eat badly. I had a couple small bites of the canned corned beef hash which literally made it possible for me to get through the day. It is very high in fat, but also high in Protein. I would "treat" myself with half an egg and a few bites of corned beef hash. It made a world of difference in my attitude. I would check with your doctor if you try something that is not on the list. I asked my doctor before I ate it and he said it was fine. Just what worked for me, I hope you feel better soon!

I had it since Saturday, I had oatmeal today and it was hard to eat it cause I wanted to vomit, I had a boiled egg without the yoke and I still felt the same, I can't eat anything it seems not without having the feeling I need to vomit ugh >.< I hope it goes away cause I didn't plan on living this way =

Thanks though (:

and I feel bed bound I've been in bed since Friday night when I all of a sudden got nauseated I've been out but I couldn't be up for a while without feeling sick to my stomach and laying down seems to be the only thing that helps I feel like I got to burp or vomit hmm sometimes I have that thought in my head like what if this band wasn't meant for me? Ya know? I know a lot of you get that feeling. I've read the complications section and some of mine are in there anywho I feel like a new person...the kind of person I don't want to be hmm I gonna read more in that section o.O

All things in moderation of course, and that stuff is pretty darn soft, but I'd maybe wait.

And of course, you know that processed mac n cheese offers your body nothing of any nutritional worth? All that food colouring, fat, additives and white carbs, ugh. Have a tiny bit if its what you love, I've found that eating what I want in moderation has worked brilliantly for me and there's more to life than being nutrionally faultless. But still, its a pretty yuck choice for just now in your program.

Why not make a home made one, with decent ingredients?

think I may have told you this before but it sounds like you have got yourself seriously swollen and aren't giving yourself enough time before you reintroduce solids. I've done the same thing a few times. You eat something and get sick and swollen. You get hungry and try to eat before the swellings gone away comlpetely then you get sick again and are even more swollen. It's a nasty vicious circle. If this is the case the only thing that's gonna help and also prevent possible further damage is to get yourself back on liquids and not just for a fee hours but probably for a few days with no going back to solids for at least 2 days. Probably not what you wanna Here but more than likely what you need to do.A lot of bandsters myself included are extremely sensitive when it comes to swelling. It takes me a full week after a fill to to get completely back on regular foods.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
