October 2009 Surgery Date?

I had my surgery on October 1st and everything is going great so far. Only thing is I had no idea how often I drop things on the floor and have to pick it up - just so painful.

LOL!

I know. As long as you bend and squat with your legs & knees there is no strain.

I'm feeling great too.

5 days post op with a repaired hernia!

Hi all I am FINALLY home!!!! I got banded on friday Oct 2nd. I had some problems ............. first was the anesthea( i wont scare anyone) second when i had the swallow test on sat no liquid passed thru. So I got my first adjustmant one day after surgery...wow!!! the doc pulled one half ml out of my band. The barium passed thru slowly afterwards. He ;et me go home at 3oopm on sat. I drank about 2 oz of Water on sunday and had feeling like it was just sitting there. Brought it back up. I was vomitting all day and night.I tried toughinh it out sippingly slowly etc take my time.I called doc on Monday and off to ER on Monday afternoon, I was admitted for dehydration. I was throwing up my own saliva. I had abnormal amount of swelling and it closed the band . After three days of swallow tests and constant IV's . the liquid passed thru the band. I came home on Weds night. Doc said by weekend all the swellen should be gone.

As of Thurs morning I am able to hold down water-liquids.just sipping real slowly and taking time inbetween. I cant wait to start the "real" diet and get some mush and puree in me.... I gues the good thing out of all this is Since last Thursday I lost 12 pounds.....lol.........even after all the BS Iam still glad I got banded and keep staring at that Leather NY Jet coat I bought three years ago and dreaming about it fitting again.

The 5o% is also what my coverage will pay but all that means is the 50% or your out of pocket which mine is 3000.00 so this is less than the percentage if I were you go by what your ins says not the hospital.
