Port Locations are not all the same...

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone has their port just below their breast bone in the center of their lower chest and upper abdominals? I saw a picture of someone elses port and it was toward the side of their middle abdominal area - kind of made me wonder why mine was where it was. Im not worried but just wondering.

Thanks...:smile2:

Good morning, I have mine there, right under my breast bone. Everyone doesn't have them in the same place. It's ok..

Mine is about 3-4" above my belly button in the center. I was expecting it to be more upper mid section toward the side like in the diagrams, etc.

Hi:

Mine is right where yours is and I've had it for 2 years. I'm glad it is there because I never have clothing bothering it.

I love my band and my new flat tummy!

Thank you all so much for your reply, I apologize for taking so long to reply back... Does port location have anything to do with it flipping - I will be working out a lot and in particular I am concerned with doing abs (when its time of course)...

Mine's a little left of center, and a good couple inches under my left breast....great spot! I never feel it!

I just had surgery on the 16th and I know my port is still meshing - I think it will be a good spot too - once it heals...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
