Im 21 ill be getting the lap band in 6 days!

I got mine in June, I am 22!

I didn't realize this was a 20-something thread, but I thought I would post anyway. I was banded 3/25/08 at age 63.

I only wish I did this in my twenties (sigh).

Raised two daughters, celebrated and paid for weddings, nursed my husband during chemo...

I am 52 will be banded on THURSDAY.. I stared at the brochure for 5 years.. and then tuned out everyone saying, you don't need to do this...

YES I DO.. It is MY time now.

I was banded at 22, I'm 25 now

21 when I had mine but I could have had it when I was 19 if doctors hadn't screwed around lol. Didn't really care when I got it as long as I did

Got it at 54...wish I had done it sooner!

I am 41, I had my band done 10 weeks ago back in Oct. lost 46lbs already! Almost 60 lbs if you include the 3 week preop diet. I am very glad to see so many people doing this in their 20's I would not hesitate to tell someone to do it. :thumbup:

I had my band placed Monday (Dec. 14th) and I will be 25 next month.

I was banded on May 19th, 2009 and I was 41.. I am now 42... I have my high school 25th reunion next year and I will be at least a year post op when I go and hope to be down 100lbs... I am down 60 total now including pre-op diet....

I hope to be 26 when I get mine done *crosses fingers* :biggrin:

I'm 21 and I am getting banded on the 30th of this month!!!

Just got mine on Dec 14th. I'm 25.

I am 27 and got the band 6 and 1/2 years ago, when I was 21.

I was banded at 23, and am still working towards goal, and even though it has been painfully slow for me, I am SO GLAD that I did it!
