I have decided to face the truth about my weight

Recommended Posts

I have come to a decision and I can't say I'm not nervous about it but I have decided I have to do it....I have to not be ashamed to admit my weight! I have gone to TickerFactory so many times and made my ticker only to look at it and be ashamed that it shows either what I weigh or what I weighed when I was banded but no more! I went to our health clinic to check my weight the other day since I hadn't weighed since my last fill in July and to my great pleasure I have lost 87 pounds since my surgery a little over 3 months ago! I couldn't wait to get back to my office to tell everyone what I had just found out when it hit me......I was ashamed to tell people that I had lost 87 pounds and I am still as big as I am! I shared this with a good friend of mine and she told me to stop being silly. Well, I've decided to take her advice and stop being silly and what better place than to do it here! I hope maybe someone can see that this certainly works for people of all sizes, even someone with a high starting weight like mine. So folks, thanks for letting me share and now I proudly, if not hesitantly, present my new signature with my ever decreasing ticker!

Way to Go, Becky!

WOW!! What an accomplishment -- 87 pounds! Keep up the fantastic work. Don't worry about what you used to weigh it's gone gone gone! You aren't what you weigh it's what is on the inside that counts! You are still the same person only getting smaller on the outside. Be PROUD of all that you have accomplished!

Hi Becky,

I applaud your courage. I can understand your hesitation, but I think your friend it right. Girl, shout those numbers -- 87 lbs in 3 months?! Whew, you're well on your way. Keep up the good work. The thing I love about this site, is that you'll get more support than you ever thought and if you feel more comfortable telling your LBT friends than your co-workers you should just do it!

All the best!

WHAT A SUPER JOB!!!!!

Rember, it's not where you're going and it's not where you've been, but where you are right now that matters. And girl, you are in a fabulous place.

Do you have any idea the number of people who weighed what you use to weigh would have just given up and never even tried? The numbers are staggering I'm sure. But not you, you are a strong, couragous and inspirational woman and we are all proud of you and glad you shared your wonderful news with us. I hope you know how much you are helping others who might be feeling like, it's just too hard, I have too much to lose, why bother, yadayadayada.

You are a shining example of strong and powerful woman.

Good luck on your continued success in this battle we all here are fighting.

Cindy

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
