Hey everyone! I'm a college student, I have had the band for 9 months now and after having a few difficulties I have finally hit my sweet spot. Has anyone else noticed they needed alot in their band before they felt restrictions?? I have a 14cc band (what can I say big girl with a big upper stomach lol) and I just had a fill last week that put me at 10cc!!!!! So, because of this I havent really lost much but I hope now it will get better!!!

I have a 14 cc band and hit restriction finally at 6.50 cc

I'm sure as I lose and need more, though, that I'll end up close to 10cc! Welcome and good luck!

I'm like you, too...not much loss yet but it is finally happening!

We'll get there!

I have only had 7cc so far. I keep telling my doc that I am not satisfied nor do I feel restriction but they will not try more than one cc at a time because I am losing weight. I am losing weight however, because I am refusing to give into cravings (most of the time). I just hope I can keep going.

Hey emirichmond, honestly it would probably be better for them to do that, at least that way it's slowly filled and you won't have to get an unfill because it's too tight.

Oh, it's such an individual thing!

I felt restriction right away after surgery with only 3cc in the band. I went up to 4.5 and really felt it...then I still thought I could eat too much, but when adding just .5 cc, I was way too tight and was having lots of bad "stuck" moments to the point of vomiting. I had a little bit taken back out. I think slow is the way to go...it's hard to be patient, but it sure doesn't feel good when you get that little bit that puts you over the edge. Blech!

You are doing great! Congratulations!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
