Hi Everyone, I am new to the site and I have a surgery date of May 12. I have been working on this 18 months and have given up a couple of times. So glad I didn't give up.. now I am excited and scared too.

Howdy! May 8th here. I see I've got company on Friday, too! It's exciting to see this many people doing it at the same time. I suddenly feel a LOT less alone.:thumbdown:

I'm throwing my sombrero into the ring, I got an approval letter in the mail today and I'll be making my surgeon appt on Monday for as soon as they can see me. I'm going to be a Mayo Bandito and I'm ready! I started looking into this process last August and if my insurance hadn't changed I would have been banded for over 3 months by now. That's ok, more time to get ready! I see I'm in excellent company and looking forward to the journey with all the other May banders!

Well I guess it's time for me to start too. My band date is set for May 27th so I will be so eager to hear how all of you first of May bandsters do. I feel like I still have alot of unanswered questions but excited too. Good luck!!

Hey everyone! I just set up my surgery on Friday. My surgery is scheduled for May 18th. I can't believe how easy it was to get my insurance approval. I am going to pick up all my preop instructions on Monday. And the fun begins:tongue:. I've gotten a lot of uselful info. from coworkers as well as online. I'm excited and a little nervous.

Everything will be fine! It's my birthday, and I'll definitely be keeping all of you May 4th's guys and gals in my prayers. :thumbdown:

Hey Meandmyweightloss, Good Luck tomarrow, let us know how you are doing when you can. You and all of the other May 4th ones are in my prayers. Mine is Thursday the 7th.

Thursday the 7th as well, Will be praying for everyone on that day as well!!!! I go liquids tonight (should have done it this morning but had to get my last blast of sesame noodles in from this place next to my job) soooo dinner is going to be broth... and then some more tomorrow!

I have my date!!! It is scheduled for May 19th. I am so excited. I am supposed to start my preop diet on the 5th, but I am going to start it tomorrow. I totally had a lot of last dinners this weekend!!!!:smile:
