I haven't been banded yet either. I have only started the process and will have my intro meeting next month. But anyways, I totally love the vintage pin up look! I swear that once I achieve my goal...that is how I will reward myself. I don't care how far I have to travel and how much it costs, I am gonna do it! My hubby will probably think I am nuts because I am not sure he knows about my interest in that style. But I think he would appreciate the end result!

Barbara - You should look up Boo Boo Kitty and take a look at her pics. You may find inspiration there. She does pinup pics and she looks amazing.

Hey, come with us. I am coming to see NYC and staying in Manhattan before a cruise. Im doing 3 days in NYC and the 5 day QM2. I bought 2 formals. I hear they get totally decked out on the QM2. I think I might hit right below 140 lbs by the time this cruise leaves on July 1st. We have a black and white ball the 2nd night and a red white and blue ball the 4th night and see the fireworks in Boston Harbor on July 4th.

Im not sure I will look "fabulous", but Im certainly going to look better than I did the same time a year before. Come along, and you can look fabulous for this July 4th weekend. You dont even have to fly there. Maybe we can both meet husbands and cross that off our lists too!!!

2) be surprised the carpentry elves have rushed ahead of you and rebuilt all the lunch booths "big enough" for you to fit;

3) wonder how to adapt to NOT being the biggest person in every room you go into..........

etc.

those are on my list also.

Was just banded on 2/24 and I've got a way to go but I can't wait to:

1) Tuck my shirts in a cute pair of jeans.

2) Exercise and be active with anything without worrying about looking like a blob or not being able to do it.

3) Take more pictures of me with my family. I play The Photographer now so I don't have to be in the photos.

and to add more:

4) Look good in a bathing suit.

5) Feel GREAT in my body!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
