Friday Weigh-in

Recommended Posts

It's Friday again already.... I'm still at 232 this week. I didn't have too bad of a week. I started to focus on Protein again. I did walk down to the daycare in the afternoon to pick my son up in his little push car 3 times this week, it's almost half a mile each way. I am still having a lot of trouble with eating when I'm not even hungry. Mostly from boredom at night. I'm going to try to recommit to not eating when I'm not hungry. When I start feeling hunger pangs, I'll eat. But if I'm not feeling them, I need to stop putting food in my mouth. I still think I'm at a really good restriction. I can't eat a lot in one sitting, unless it's junk like chips or crackers. I've got a lot of stress on right now. My job is in a major upheaval and the unknown has been dragging on for 2 months now. I'll still have a job, thank god, but I don't know what building, what shift, or what kind of work I'll be doing. It has been a very rough time at work.

Still 185, I have had my period for about two weeks. I also began to use the depo shot as a way to regulate my period and will not be using this again!

I was wondering where you have been LoveIslovely. I think I am beginning to get into the "lifetime" mentality. I am not as strict as I have been and my 3# per week has slowed to about 2#. I don't freak out if I eat something less than perfect because I know that I will get back ont he wagon and the weight will keep coming off.

I don't know if I am burnt out on worrying about it so much, or if it is just becoming another part of my life instead of the focus. Have you gotten there yet? I wonder if I am just rationalizing not making it a focus.

I guess time will tell. I think I can still average about 10# a month...maybe 8.

Hey Julie,

Ah I am NOW reall starting to see this as a lifetime change and no longer become upset if I eat something that may be considered to be "bad" and that bad is usually a mini kit kat lol. However, overall I am eating so healthy and I love it. The exercise is my favorite part, I feel like so athletic.

OMG! That's all I can say.....

LoveIsLovely and Julie.ann - WOW! You guys are what I need to see right now.

I was banded 10/13/2008 and lately I have really felt "lost" in my journey. I was looking for somewhere to post to find accountabillity and I have found you guys.

I was doing really well at first, and I know i have gotten too comfortable - that's why I gained so much in the first place. I haven't lost anything in the past 2 months, and I am so frustrated.

It's a day early, so I will be back tomorrow.....

Well things are essitially unchanged this week. I am getting back to the basic rule of if I am not hungry then I don't eat. I had a very good day yesterday. I am really havng to take small bites and chew well to keep from getting stuck. My meals are not large and can last me 4-5 hours, but I have to make sure I don't snack. That has been a problem for me in the past 2 weeks.

I am not down on myself because I had gained a few lbs and lost that so I'm actually on the downward slope again. I got a workout schedule made up for me at the gym so I am anxious to see if that helps me become more defined and lose inches.

I am close to the century mark and ANYTIME I concentrate on the numbers and not the process I stop doing well. So back to the process and the numbers will follow. I also am working on being better about recording my food intake on www.sparkpeople.com because I have always said that that is the best tool for my weight loss with the exception of the band.

Good morning everyone, I'm back.

OK, I'm officially 228.2 - that's a total of 37.8 lbs lost. I am so disapointed:frown2:. Oh well, this is today and I have tomorrow to look forward to.

Hi everybody. Haven't posted in a couple weeks. I've been traveling and yo-yo-ing a bit. :) But I'm down another pound (I'm going to have to change that "current goal" soon - lol).

All in all I love my band. Some of my bad habits seem pretty ingrained. But I'm slowly making progress. All I can say is that pre-band I would have been in despair and I'm sure I would have gained a pound or 2.

Love you to all.

I got banded 2-5-08 starting weight was 258, i hit my all time low on 5-8-09 at 203 and blew it last week. I ate a lot of things I shouldn't have and drank a lot of soda. I'm not sure why I self destructed, but I am pretty angry with myself because I gained about 5 pounds back. Also it just makes me feel depressed when I lose control like that. Especially since my progress has been slow as it is. The only positive I can say is I'm doing excellent with my work outs 5 days /week. I just want to stop destroying my progress!

Jul,

Becareful with soda. If the carbonated beverages stretch your pouch there may be no going back. It is one thing to eat unhealthy and then get back on the wagon. Please don't do anything that you can't reverse.

I have had some bad weekends so far in May. Forget it. It is in the past. Don't dwell on it. Resolve to move forward. You can do it!!!

Hi there, I'm going to do my Friday weigh in today, since I won't be at work Friday to do it. I'm at 227 this week and SOOOOO Happy. I've finally broken through the 230's where I've been stuck for weeks. I haven't been this weight since my senior year in high school. I don't know what I did different this past 2 weeks, but I've lost a couple of pounds. I was really stressed out and wasn't eating much, which is what helped I'm sure. We're going camping this weekend, so will have plenty of opportunity to move around and exercise with the kids. Won't be eating all the time either. Hope everyone has a safe and good holiday weekend.

Happy Friday Everyone!

OK, it's not the greatest news, but it's not bad news either. This morning I weigh 227.6 - thats a 0.6 loss. I thought I was doing better than that. I have been stuck in the high 220's for way too long.

Put me down for a loss. I have lost 100lbs. Our daughter is being very selfish with bad behavior. (She is 15.) It has driven me to eat today, but back on track as of right now.

I love being in the century club. It has really been coming off slow the last month or so!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
