Friday Weigh-in

Recommended Posts

I'm the same as last week - but I just "feel" that it's going to drop a pound or so tomorrow. I've been pure with my eating (not so much on the drinking - need to get in more water). Also I signed up for the boot camp starting 5 days a week June 1 (from 5:30 - 6:30 a.m.) What was I thinking????

Next week I go for a fill on Thursday.

Cheryl - that's what I have 8 cc in a 15 band. You can do it. PB'd at lunch a little (I can't talk and eat at the same time).

All's well with the world. Have a safe and happy holiday.

Oh, and Julie - I've been there with the 15 year old daughters. Hang in there. This too shall pass.

Love you all!

Yeah! I lost 1 lb this week. Always wishing it was more, but it could have been a gain. That puts me at 226.6:willy_nilly:

I am pretty happy. I weight yesterday instead of today and I am 183.1

YAY.

I can't wait to no longer be obese. I have to hit 175 to only be overweight. I should be there by July 4th if not before!

I am down to 226.2 this morning. I always try to weigh first thing once or twice a week. This week has been tough on me. Midnight 12's and very little sleep. Next week will be better.....

I weighed yesterday morning and was at 224.6. I think it's a fluke. I was very bad this week. I was on my 5 days off from work the first part of the week. It was cold and crappy and we did pretty much nothing active. I did walk once and do some weights twice though. Now that I'm back to work for the next 7 days, I expect to see another drop. Being at work, I can only eat what I bring. Being home, there is a house full of food.< /p>

224 even - I lost 0.4 this week. I know it's my fault, I didn't work out at all except Monday.

All I want right now is to get out of the 220's!! I've been here for 3 months now!

MYTURN:

I know that is frustrating. Maybe you need to cut out all carbs to get a jumpstart.

I can't believe my scales said 179.5 today. GOOD-BYE 180's!!!! The weekend is the hardest for me so I will have to try to be extra good so those numbers don't come back on the scale!

I can't wait to surprise my family next month with my weight loss!

I'm still avoiding scales except at my doctor's office once a month, but I can say that I finally fit into the size 14 pants I bought last month. I had been in a 16 since March, so I was pretty excited when they fit so well.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Does the carb diet work with the lapband?

I was banded cec lost 41 so far and need

something to jump start me! Thanks

You mean high protien low carb? ABSOLUTELY! Really that is what we should be on anyway. Think of the bandster guidelines.

Eat Solid Protien first

Follow with veggies.

We can't eat much so if you ALWAYS start with solid Protein and not eat unless you are hungry that will take care of things.

It works amazing. You still have to eat healthy when you aren't watching your carbs, but it will cut the weight fast. I eat lean meat mostly and that helps too.

Really any healthy lifestyle of eating will work great with the band as long as you stay away from the soft and liquid calories.

Hi Everyone,

I don't post here often enough. I weigh myself each Monday. Today I was down another 2#!

My weight didn't change much for the last two months but seems to be starting to move again. I've been sick and I don't know how much that has or hasn't impacted on the weight loss. I haven't been working out much either but that is due to my babying a pre-hernia that I'm trying to keep from needing to have fixed for a while yet.

Anyway, as expected I don't lose weight easily, not even with the band. Just losing for the first time in years is a big accomplishment. It is very frustrating, but I keep telling myself that it will come off in time as long as I stick to the eating rules and do the little bit of working out that I can do.

I'm so impressed with those of you who've lost such impressive amounts in what seems to be a short amount of time! You are all my heroes.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
