Fill Problems

Recommended Posts

Everytime I get a fill, I usually need over 1cc, I go maybe every 4 months. When I get the fill, my stomach doesn't take well to it, and usually locks up so I cannot get anything down, not even my own saliva, so the dr ends up having to take more than half of what he put in out, and 3 days later I am starving just like I was before. What's the deal, anyone had problems with this? He said my stomach might be going into spasms, does anyone know of a way to avoid this, I am getting very down on my lap-band right now.

I just had my second fill today. Both times I've had to have some removed. The first time, he but in 3 and took out 1. Today, he put in 2 and removed some - I'm sure .5 to 1. I couldn't swallow Water in the office. The nurse said sometimes they've had "slow fillers". Since it happened to me twice, she said they will have to go slow with me every time. I'm a bit discouraged, but I'm sure it will work out. (I'm hoping.) I'm in the same spot of you... I get filled, unfilled, then a few days later - I'm hungary again. I'm sure it's all going to be the way it supposed to.... Good luck!

had my 3rd fill two days ago and I can't get anything down, the same thing happended for my second fill but not this bad. I tired sipping 1 oz every 15 minutes and after 3 sips it was coming up. So much salvia. I told the pa that i had a hard time last time so she said she would only put in .6, last time it was .5 but I had lost some when she checked. What made you get to the point where you went back and had some taken out?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
