EXTREME Right Side Pain!!!

Recommended Posts

It all started with a spell of hiccups, then a yawn. I found that during abnormal breathing I had this pain in my lower right abdomen. I went to see my surgeon. He pushed around a bit, asked a few questions, and said he wasn't quite sure, not typical signs of gall bladder problems. He ordered an Ultrasound, X-Ray and Blood Test. Results came back Friday morning, all negative. By Saturday afternoon, the pain was pretty much gone! :)

However....Saturday night at work it only got worse. The pain began at 11:30pm, with a sharp, constant stabbing in my upper right abdomen. It continued until 2:00am....constant! There was nothing I could do to relieve it, not sitting, standing, walking...nothing helped! I began researching on the internet and have decided that my symptoms most match that of gallstones. It said gallstones occur predominantly in women, who are overweight, and who have experienced rapid weight loss. I'm going to call my doctor Monday morning to go in for a CT Scan, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this?

I am sorry to hear about your pain and possible gallstones. I understand your pain however, I had to have a port revision November 19th for pain that sounded just like that for months.

I couldn't get comfortable no matter what I did and I just fidgeted constantly trying to find a better way to sit, stand or sleep.

I wish you luck and I hope they can get this resolved for you so you can feel great :tongue2:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
