Shrinkin' Violets Part 3 Read HERE!

Hey Girlz,

We had a wonderful day out in the country with our friends! I could have stayed much longer but had to get home :tt2: It's such a nice piece of Texas -- gentle rolling hills and everything was SO green because of all the rain we've had. The cows were all very very happy...and fat!

Oh, I ate too much and feel like a bloated toad frog tonight. Must be the cucumbers! I really enjoyed the Greek salad I brought and want to make more tomorrow! YUM! I had no idea that the dressing is only olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper and oregano! I made a BIG bowl of it and it was ALL GONE. That's always a compliment!

I also taught Hannah how to make homemade cinnamon rolls this morning. OMG. Good thing I left the house shortly after they came out of the oven or I would have eaten the whole pan. I haven't made those in a very long time!! She's 5'9" and weighs 125 -- she can eat them all day long.

Well, I need to go take a HOT shower and get in bed. It was a long (but way fun) day.

XOXO!

Good Morning, Violets..

Couldn't sleep well last night. I was up from 2:30 -4 writing a report and then piddling around on Facebook. So of course now at 7:30 I'm tired, but at least I can take a nap this afternoon.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you moms, grammas and especially to Laura, our new mom. We're going out to lunch after church with Kris, Nathan and Grady.

Terry.. glad you had a good time yesterday. Everything is greening up here too, but the big difference is we are under a freeze warning for tonight. I'll have to bring my new hanging plant in. My mother always loved lobelia so I got a plant that had that and geraniums in it. So pretty.

Time to go take my shower and get dressed for church. The ladies are singing an anthem without the guys today and I'm playing flute during offertory so have to get there early and get everything set up.

Have a great day and be good to yourselves.

Back home from work, this morning wanted to add that I can't stand Coach or the other name he calls himself. I would want anyone but him to win. He makes me CRAZY!!!!! Okay maybe he makes me crazier!

I hear ya Jane...the nutcase makes me physically ill. I don't really care who wins as long as it is not him!

I'm pretty pooped and am going to head to bed and finish reading my new James Patterson book.

Everyone have a good night and be good to yourselves.

Which one are you reading Judy?

I also taught Hannah how to make homemade cinnamon rolls this morning. OMG. Good thing I left the house shortly after they came out of the oven or I would have eaten the whole pan.

I have made these like twice and new nothing good could come of it so I never made another pan! lol

Happy Mothers Day to all our moms.

Ya know, I have been wondering if I can take having my ass whipped by Jason 2 more times. I really do not know if I can take a beatin' like he dished out on Friday. I am not really the type to just throw in the towel but my God! Then on the other hand I am thinking...it is just 2 more times, you can do it. But I mean what I really wanted to accomplish was to learn how to use the machines properly and some instruction...not pay to have myself killed. I dunno. I will see how I feel later. He really is a nice guy but not the same guy I had on the first 2 appts.

Have a great day ladies. :tt2:

Good Morning and a very Happy Mother's day to all.

There was a card and gift waiting for me on top of my laptop. Hubby and the kitties got me a very cute card and that a pin of an angel holding a little kitty. How sweet of them.

We had such a lovely time yesterday. We got there about 1:30pm and didn't leave till about 9:30pm. Everybody was having such a great time. And the food was delicious.

I'm up and showered. I'll be getting dressed here soon and heading over to the hospital. They admitted my nephew yesterday. About 2 1/2 weeks ago he got a tatto on his elbow. Well, before it could heal it got infected, now they are saying that he has that MRSA(sp?) and needs to be on continuious IV antibiotics. So before I head to church, I'll swing by the hospital and see heim. I may have to stop by Walgreens and pick him up a bag of Starburst.

Jane, a friend of mine in Calif. has a son that plays in a band. The band will be playing in Chicago sometime next month. If I swing thru St. Louis would you want to ride with me the rest of the way? It would just be a one nighter:blush:. As soon as I know more I'll let you know.

I hope everyone has a nice day.

Morning Girls~

Terry, gald you had a great time yesterday. That is one thing I noticed was all the green in the mountains. Actually, I thought of you yesterday...how much I think you'd love this little artsy fartsy town!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Momma Violets...and a special one to Laura. Waiting for an update...how did it go last night?

Going to cemetary in a bit, then back home to chill-ax and work a bit on Walden. I would love to finish my book today, haven't had any reading time in 3 days. Sus has a game at 4...but other than that it is a quiet Sunday...I hope!

Again...my sweet Mommy Violetas...enjoy! Thinking of you Terry and Susie today!

I have been to your artsy fartsy town, Pamela and I LOVED it!! What made it especially wonderful was that I was attending a 3 day "new age" conference, learning so many cool things, hanging out with an amazing crowd of people and feeling downright euphoric. So yeah, I have great memories of Palm Springs! As a matter of fact I still remember a painting I saw in one gallery that was willing to give my left arm for, but they weren't interested in having my severed arm. They wanted cash!? LOL

Here's some pictures from yesterday -- nice place, eh? The couple in one of the pics were our hosts. Wonderful people and I'm so lucky to have them as friends. Another couple in this group own the condo in Steamboat we're staying in. Heh...it's nice to have rich friends!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Last night was great, I told my mom to text me everytime she got up, I had my phone on quiet so if I woke up in the middle of the night I could read updates. dinner was great, I had a glass of wine and didn't eat yesterday so I got sloppy LOL. We came home and I passed out within an hour. Woke up at 2:30 and had a list of updates from mom. Woke up again at 8:30, same thing. Looks like all went well, I am waiting for her next text so I know they are up and I am going to head over there.

I survived, and I got the sleep.< /p>

Watched this really sad show yesterday, "Going Postal: 15 Most Shocking Acts of Violence".. OMG. It had some things I knew about; like columbine or the guy in the 70's who was up in the tower shooting college kids on the ground.. But I learned why TX now has a concealed gun law.. and then there were several stories I never heard of, like a guy who was a pervert and so he was taking it out on the kids and kills like 16 5-6 year olds in their school.. gah.. Oh and the 11 and 13 year old boy who pull the fire alarm, then just shoot at everyone coming out--and how they're both out and free now (because they became adults). Blows my mind.

Happy Mother's Day, Vis~~

A lovely day here so far... a sunny day finally!... got to spend about 1/2 hour sitting outside in the sunshine by a babbling fountain quietly enjoying the day before church, then church, then lunch w/the fam @ my fav local spot, now home & nothing particular on the agenda -- for once! -- think I may read / knit / nap in no particular order!... ds is out mowing the lawn... life is good!

Enjoy your days!!!

Terry, loved the pics. Looks like you guys had a blast.

Laura, so glad you go some sleep, I bet you really missed the little guy though.

Here's some pics from the party that we went to.

The first pic is Hubby in the gray shirt. The second is cousin Kathleen. The last pic is cousin Matt in the gray shirt. This was all at his house.

Just popping in to say Happy Mothers Day to my Violets. Wishing I could give each of you a Hug!

Pamela hang in there......I know it is hard. I have a niece that today is very hard on, she has been trying for 15 years to be a Mom, and it has never worked. My heart goes out to you both, they promote this so hard, and it just isn't a one size fits all holiday. ((((HUGS))))))

Rick and I went to Breakfast, and grabbed a couple of things, and he is outside now prepping the yard--the kids supposedly have everything ready for a cookout. I said I would make cole slaw, and devilled eggs----be damned if my MIL is not going to do the same, and make a cake, and, and, and. Which is fine, but she is VOCAL and pissy if someone chooses to eat the other, that is not hers--doesn't matter if I made it, one of the kids, my Mom whoever. She hollers "what? Mines not good enough?" Or she will 'jokingly' say you can try mine, I really washed my hands.......when she is really not joking. But she complains when no one else brings things. You cannot please her sometimes~lol

Guess I will go help~~~~Rick was sick yesterday, I am sure he doesn't really feel like doing all this.

Terry, your party looked great, as did yours Suzanne. I'll take some pics today, and maybe someone will resize them for me!!! LOL We GOTTA have computer lessons this year!

Love ya!

Hi again everyone!

Hope you have all had a great weekend...so far anyway!

I am just waiting for dh to get home and relieve me from my mom duties for the evening ;) He is good to me, I am sure he wont mind. I have supper almost done, all he really has to do is entertain macy the rest of the evening.

I have some fever blisters, cold sore, herpes, whatever you wanna call 'em. When I was a kid I would get them really bad on my mouth & they would go up my nose...well, guess what?! They are in my nose again. Ugh, painful, itchy and just down right irritating. I have some prescription cream I am putting on it but it still itches! AARRGGGHH!

Hope you all have a good evening. Still don't know what I am gonna do about my training session tomorrow....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
