I guess I'm going for the most posts in one day record or something.

Weekend plans are gonna be pretty standard.... I've got nothing scheduled for Saturday except some showings in the afternoon. Hoping to catch a movie tomorrow night. Sunday is a big huge deal at our house. Lots of cooking to be done mostly by me and my sisters... We have all my aunts and cousins and friends and Juan's family and his aunts all coming over to my mom's. We go to church first, then the cemetary to leave flowers on my grandma's grave and then home to start cooking...

OH, tonight I'm going to the Rockets game. We're in the playoffs against the Lakers. Game 3 tonight. I'm so excited!!

I'm gonna run out for lunch with my co-worker. Be back shortly!

Haydee,

The fires are about 3 hours away. It is sad though...I hate fires! So much destruction ;)

Judy, enjoy your day! You don't get 'em often. You are almost as busy as I am! Perhaps more!

How'd you get those tickets, Haydee?? Wowser! Lucky girl!

....and I LOVE TEXAS too, but I sure do love the mountains in the summertime! I have to admit that I do dream about living there but it'll never happen. DH is joined at the hip with his brothers and sisters here -- he'd never leave. When (IF) we ever get to retire, I'd sure like to rent a place there for 2 months during the summer. It's amazingly cheap to do it. Like <$2500/mo. sometimes. Cheaper than buying a place, that's fo sho!

I am ALIVE!!

Jason (trainer) almost killed me today. I saw dh while I was in the middle of the workout and told him I wanted a light blue casket with red roses, lol!

Haydee-what a great idea about wearing my bathing suit under the gym clothes! Thanks! Yes, we joined last week. :)

Judy-thank you. I am proud too. It means alot to hear it though. ;)

Terry-3# gain really? Ugh! OK, I will stay away from them for a couple more days anyway. I wanna go to CO too!

Laura-I remember when macy was away for the first night. I had all these plans of sleeping and stuff too. I remember sitting on my bed crying. I knew she was OK, but the house (and I) felt SO empty. You'll see. It gets easier though! lol

Jane-hope you have a great day @ work!

Pamela-I was wondering if the fires were near you. How horrible for all those people. :D

Kat-oh how I would LOVE to go riding too!

;) all violets. Didn't purposely leave anyone out but I need to get off here and take care of a few things before hurricane macy gets home ;)

I'm so ready to goooooooooooooooo... Game starts at 8:30 but I'm meeting friends for drinks and wings at 6pm. I wish I could leave early but I don't really have a good excuse, he he he...

Terry - my dad has a friend that has season tickets and he travels alot so he gives them to us when he doesn't use them.

Tracy - when you joined 24hr fitness they did mention that you could buy the lifetime membership plan? They never mentioned it to me when I first signed up 5 years ago. By now I would be going for free for the rest of my life but I just found out about it last month. ;)

Hey girlfriends,

I'm in between shifts right now. Came home had a bowl of cottage cheese, we took the blinds down and than the guy showed up to replace the patio door window. Got that all done and cleaned up and now I'm getting ready to head back to do my second shift.

We have a big all day party to go to tomorrow and than Sunday, God said "rest", so that is what I'm going to do. Except go to church.

Terry, the pics are lovely and makes me kinda homesick.

Laura, Enjoy your night and don't panic if you wake up in the middle of the night and forgot where you put Carson.

Janie, relax this weekend.

Everyone else, have a very happy and enjoyable weekend and keep it safe.

Yeah, Laura, you'll probably wake up every 3 hours anyway! ;)

Are you from that part of the country Suzie?

That sounds fun Terry, nice to have the kids grown and out of the house huh??

I probably will wake up, even when Russ does feeding/changing at night, I get up with one eye open to make sure everything is done to my satisfaction lol.

But I hope I get some sleep, I really need it.. I feel like a zombie, and my c-section is actually hurting now.. I guess since I stopped pain meds!! It hurts inside, not outside though... it feels swollen, I have a doc appt. this coming week so I guess I'll ask if it's normal. I assume it is.

We're refinancing the house since rates are down..will save us about $150 a month.

Haydee, no shenanigans--I got 3 more weeks, not that I'm counting!! We are going to a fancy restaurant, my dad is treating... and I may take a sleeping pill to ensure I don't wake up panicky about Carson.

He's been having belly pains lately, constipated or gassy from the formula.. ;)

I have been doing the calming & sleepy bath & calming & sleepylotion every other night.. hah.. he shrieks like we're skinning him alive, then afterward he is stoned looking, but doesn't go to sleep.. just stares at us. Probably traumatized from the bathing.

Home and loving it. I cooked some burgers out on the grill, nice and yummy.

Terry, I was born in Englewood Ca. and for 15 years we lived in the San Fernando Valley (an original valley girl). The valley is nestled in the San Gabriel Mountains. And that is what I miss the most. Tall beautiful mountains. In the winter they would have snow caps. So pretty.

I meant to say for Jenn, Tracy or anyone else... once a violet, ALWAYS a violet.. no matter how quiet or far you wander.. we'll find you :glare: Has anyone found TracyKS yet?????

Well, it's been an interesting day here, Violets..

Police Foil Baby's Day Out

May 8, 2009 - 05:20 p.m. EST

Officers from the Alpena Police Department were able to reunite a mother with her wandering toddler Friday afternoon.

Officers arrived on the corner of Walnut Street and Miller Street in Alpena shortly after 2:00 PM following a report of a young child.

walking alone down the middle of the street.

Three people were able to corral the child and were waiting with the 3 year-old for police.

While on the scene, officers were advised that a nearby daycare center was missing a child. When the police went to the Miller Street center, they found that a gate there was only held shut by two cement blocks, as the latch on the gate was broken.

The three-year-old boy was soon reunited with his mother, who was at work at the time of her son’s escape.

The matter has been turned over to the Michigan Department of Human Services.

Yup.. the little guy on the loose was Ethan!!! Needless to say he will NOT be going back to that daycare. Probably nobody will after they pull their license. I got a frantic call and raced over to the daycare center. By the time I got there the police had Ethan and Jen was there and sobbing hysterically. When I talked to Joe and said "what was that little guy thinking"? Joe said I know exactly what he was thinking.. he was on his way to Grandma's house. He knows how to get from his house to mine when he rides with Joe in the morning and he was going to just walk there. I can't tell you how lucky we are that some people stopped and sat with him until the police arrived. We don't even know who they were. Jen is going to write a thank you and put it in the paper.

Sooooooooooooooo, it's been one heck of a day around here.

The fact that they had 3 kids in the backyard of the daycare and NO adult supervision is criminal. I shudder to think of all the things that could have happened to that little guy. Thank God he's safe and sound.

I'm going to watch the 11 p.m. news since I was told it was on the 6:00 program.

I got my Grady fix today for a couple of house while his mom went to a Princess party and his daddy golfed. Now it's just me again and a quiet evening.

Everyone sleep well.

WOW JUDY!!!!!!!!!!!!

How scary is that!

There was a little boy that left his house in a very rural area near St. Louis, he was going to his Grandmas house, he is three and was gone for 2 1/2 days. They did find him and there was a happy ending, it was on the national news and the internet.

Scary Judy, just thinking about that..........

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
