It's a metabolic tracker, you wear it on your arm, all day and night and it tracks how many calories you burn, you put in what you eat during the day and it tracks your calorie deficit. It links up to your computer via a wireless transmitter and uploads the data to the website.

No, there's no membership fee for the first 6 months, then it's like 99 a year. The first 6 months are free with the armband.

If you look at Welcome to 24 Hour Fitness MyStore! it's a little cheaper. 24 hour fitness is owned by apex, who made the bodybugg.

A note of caution, if you are going to get one....do NOT tell them you have had the lapband done, they'll make you send in a doctors release.

I had a complete unfill today. I had 4.5 put in my 10 band last week. on mon, i had 2.5 taken out b/cI couldn't eat all weekend. I threw up all day today and then went to get a quick unfill. I still cannot kep food down. Has anyone had these problems?

My fills seem to be difficult each time. Either I end up with too much restriction or not enough. I went in for my third fill two weeks ago which put me at just under 3cc in an 11cc band.

I have been very lucky to get food down. I am, however, getting fluids down and have backed off to clear liquids for a couple of days. I just did have some cottage cheese tonight and it went down. I can now eat very very little. Just a couple of bites and I am done. I am going to stay on mushy type foods for another day or two and then go back to solids. I figure I will be okay then. I do, however, believe I will be able to postpone my next fill which is coming up in a couple of weeks. I think I may have found my sweet spot....for now.

I thought I would have to go back for a second unfill after last Tues. fill. It was only my second fill, but overly effective!! I had problems on the weekend, but finally Tues. night I was able to eat well and now it's ok. I am back on solids for my dinner meal and I'm glad I waited it out because it seems just right now. Of course, if I still had been unable to keep liquids down which was the case when I went in for the unfill last Wed, I would have run back fast for an unfill!!!

On another subject, I have had horrible gas since this second fill!!! Anyone else found this to be the case after a fill and does it get better?? I sure hope so!!

I had my second fill yesterday. I was disappointed that he only put in .5 cc, bringing me to 5 in a 10 band. I thought that he would bring me to a 6. I know that it has to go slowly, blah, blah, blah. I'm just not good at delayed gratification! I forgot that I'm supposed to be on liquids and went straight out for lunch with my boyfriend.

Hi all! I've had 3 fills and i'm up to 5.6 cc in my 10 cc band now. Start was 3cc in 10cc band

1st fill 1 cc

2nd fill 1 cc

3rd fill .6 cc

After this 3rd fill, for the first 5-6 days or so I lost everything at least once daily. But, i've narrowed it down to I was taking too large of bites, and not chewing them enough. I go tomorrow for my next appt and 4th fill, hoping to go to 6.6, but we'll see.

I've always learned from my own experiences rather than someone elses. My Hubby says that means i'm hard-headed and stubborn! (boy did he hit that one on the nose!) But honestly, I can tell i'm almost at my sweet spot! I've lost 41 lbs since my surgery on 11/26/08, and I feel great!

Good Luck to us all!

Mornin' Notorious Novembers!

Fill appt yesterday went without a hitch - I now have 3cc's in a 10cc band. Doc told me I had 1.5cc in my first fill, and they put in another 1.5 yesterday. I'm hoping that this is my "sweet spot" and I'll have good restriction for more than a few days.

So far, the head hunger is still roaring, but I've had a protein shake and some mushy fruit (canned pears) this morning and I'm doing okay.

I'm praying this is going to do me for a while - I gained a couple of pounds since the 1st fill, and while my doc is not too upset, I AM!

My goal is to lose 10 - 20 before my next visit in one month. That means I've got to kill that hunger dragon dead and follow a better eating plan. I've been eating good food, just far too much of it!

Will keep checking in - hope everyone has a wonderful end-of-the-week and a great weekend!

Believe me when I say there is no gratification in waking up the next day and not being able to keep down even liquids and throwing up every 5 minutes after drinking 2 ounces!!! Ask for a bit more in a few weeks if you are still not restricted. I'm self pay so I am glad my Dr. is a bit more aggressive, but I still do not wish to go through an overfill again. I am also amazed at all of my fellow November bandsters who feel absolutely no restriction after their fills. I never could have eaten a meal following my first fill and it was a full week after the second. I keep forgetting to ask how much he put in at surgery. Anyway, maybe yours wil kick in later as some report! I hope it does. If not, call your Dr and complain!!!!!! Good luck!

Sounds like your Dr is taking it slow as some prefer to do. You may just have to be more patient with reaching that spot, but who knows? Some people do not even need a fill for 6 months after surgery. The band alone gives them enough restriction. My band was filled at surgery (unsure how much) and my first fill was 3.5 cc. Good luck to you and you will hit that spot soon!!

How long after an unfill should I wait to eat solids? Before my port revision last week and 1st fill (while asleep) I could eat solids in small amounts and threw up occasionally. I have since had 2 unfills to the point of a complete unfill yesterday afternoon. I attempted to eat solids last night and some noodle soup today and I threw up everything. Anything that is texture/solid gets stuck and I vomit. I am scared I may have to get it taken out. How long will I need to do liquids? Will I ever be able to eat solids again? What a nightmare.

Hi yall, I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would bebop into here and post a quick message be4 I wake my wild boys for school...

Anyway I got measured again like 3 months after my surgery and I have lost some inches.. WOOHOO like 3 in my waist and 4 in each thigh, only like .5 in my neck and 1.5 in each arm so that is very exciting and I have only lost 45 pounds.

I am getting my 3rd fill on Monday and I soooo need it like yesterday.... oh well maybe this'll be my sweet spot and I need to lose lose lose. I am still doing an exercise video at least 4 times a week and it is too flipping cold outside to walk right now at night or in the morning.

Oh well just thought I would share, always need to come in this forum to compare to the people that had their surgery also in Nov.

Mornin' Everyone!

Mom2two - Please check with your doctor - and if solids are causing you trouble, stay on liquids until you can talk to them. It may be too soon - try protein shakes to help keep your strength up, and sip, sip, sip until you see them. It sounds scary - please take care of yourself.

Kirsty49 - the Bodybugg is a device worn on the arm (they use them on the Biggest Loser) which tracks your activity and gives you and idea of how many calories you are burning. There are other features, I'm sure, but that's what is most mentioned. I just bought one gently used on EBay. 24Hour Fitness has them on it's website if you are looking for more info, and several forum members have them, I think...

Razberry*kisses - you are doing awesomely well! I can't wait until I can say I've duplicated your weight loss. I know I'm losing inches (clothing sizes are dropping) but the pounds are slow to come off. Hopefully now that I've gotten my second fill, I'll be losing faster. If not, I see my doctor again in a month and I want to have good results to report!:tt2:
