  2. Dr. Miles did my surgery on 11-11-08, I have lost 103 pounds but looking to lose about 50 more then have the Panni surgery done. However I need a fill and called today and it has been since Jan 2010 since I had a fill....ooops but I have had restriction and/or been saying I need to go...anyway I made appointment for Nov 29 so I am excited bout that... I want back on the losing wagon!!!! However since it has been over a year since being to the doc there, I have to get a bariatric swallow done to make sure that my band is in the correct place...anyone ever had one of those?

  4. It's great that you are excited as it is an awesome losing weight tool to have the lapband. I had my surgery on 11/11/08 and I have lost 98 pounds, I have hit this plateau for a few months, I just need to get motiviated to exercise and lose some more. I would do it all over again as it is soooo worth it!
  5. Hi, I am Stephanie, another newbie wanting to join this thread, I haven't been on LBT in a while and need to get back on the losing bandwagon! I am 33, married with 2 wild boys 10 & 5. I had my realize band put on 11-11-08. I have lost 98 pounds and need to lose like at least 60 more. I am about to try the Zumba exercise, anyone here ever done this type exercise? They offer it free at several churches in my neighborhood but I just gotta make myself go. Anyway hope to keep up with this thread, the one I used to post on has fizzled out...
  6. my new fave snack is turkey pepperoni, low cal & low carbs and high in protein! of course tuna, one can has 20-22 g protein!
  7. I am just wondering what your favorite high in Protein snack is? My new one lately is Turkey Pepperoni. I don't have a pack right now but I will be getting some and can post nutrition info but it was high in protein, low calories & low carbs!!!! I do like tuna with terriakyi sauce in it too and one can of tuna has 20-22g protein! Anyway just lemme know what you like. I did try the greek yogurt but the carbs were wayyy high but it has 13-16g protein in it.
  8. Hey I had my surgery last November by Dr. Miles, I went thru the same thing you are going thru now, last year. I went to Consultation in Jan 08 and finally jumped all the hoops and whatnot of BCBS and had surgery in November 2008. I can answer any questions you have and you go def go to the support group meetings they have monthly. It is nice to meet people that are going thru what you are going thru.
  9. I had my surgery and 1 fill but I get my next fill next week and I have been at the hungry part with less restriction so I am looking forward to my fill on the 20th.
  10. The gummy vitamins are doing fine for me. Just chew chew chew... as you do with everything you eat anyway.
  11. Okie that'll be great! Are you gonna put pics in photobucket or something to share?
  12. Hi, I am interested in some of your tops and maybe some of your pants since you are tall too. I am 6ft tall and tall is hard to find. Anyway I could pay shipping via paypal or something. Lemme know. Thanks!
  13. Hi, I would say the 2 csections I have had were worst that the lapband surgery. The first csection was the worst but then the 2nd you knew what to expect. With the lapband, I wouldn't say easy but the recovery time is much quicker. However the gas pains aren't fun, you will need to walk walk walk... they made me walk around be4 leaving after surgery. My surgery was at like 10am and I was leaving the hospital at 3, groggy but leaving, went back to my parents house for a few days so my Mom could take care of me (hubby was at home taking care of the kids) and I got to sit up in the recliner for 2 days, mom brought me lots of liquid and made me get up and walk.. the port incision hurts the worst for a while.... Anyway hope that helps you....
  14. Thanks yall for all the great suggestions! I did go and buy some of the lil' critters gummy Vitamins and I double the kids dose, I am gonna take with me to my appointment to see how many I should be taking. Thanks again~ I love this forum!
