Accountability

Recommended Posts

So what do you guys think about a weekly weigh in? It would help us hold ourselves accountable, not to mention keep everyone in touch.

If noone thinks it is appropriate I would understand, but what do you think?

Yay:thumbup: or Nay:thumbdown:

HEY RSG,

I'm uncomfortable with posting my weight, HOWEVER I'm all for a reporting of down X pounds:thumbs_up:, or holding steady:huh2:, or EEKS:eek: I'm up X pounds on a weekly basis.

One of my little quirks, but I just can't get to posting my actual weight.

Sounds good to me. Though I seem to go in spurts so most weeks will be "stayed the same". Grrrrr, can you tell I have the plateau blues again? Think I'm gonna have to accept that it's not really a plateau, I just lose weight this way.

I'm up for it, but I can pretty much tell you that I will have a weight change every other week. My body has fallen into this weird cycle of losing weight one week and then staying the same the next.

So haow about it, RSG? Want to set up a table that can accommodate both "a X pounds at start/ xpounds today/x pounds to go" and a "stayed the same/went up/went down" recording style?

Hey, that made sense in my head, but on re-reading I'm not certain it does...

I think that sounds good to me. I have been gaining and losing the same 10 lbs for a few MONTHS now. So I'm getting pretty depressed, I am hoping this helps me stay motivated because I am close to saying that this is as much weight as the lap band is giving me. I exercise, I do, I have limited my intake, taken in more, taken in less, I just need something to change and I am trying to find a way to change it. I am hungry all the freaking time, I don't have real restriction. I keep getting fills. It's seven months and I am getting depressed, really.

I know 45 lbs is a lot, but I started at a really high weight.

Damn it.

Hey Ready - do you think your doctor would do a fill under flouroscope? Maybe that could get you some restriction. It will definitely help you lose more. If not, you'll eventually get there. It will just take longer.

I keep thinking I'm there and then it loosens up after a couple weeks. I'm very close. Very, very close. I have noticed that mine has slowed down a lot, seems to be the same for several of us. Not sure if it's cause we're several month post op or if we've lost the easy pounds already. I'm not gonna believe that though cause I still have about 100 to go.

Hi to all of you , I think it would be great to have all of us Valentines post. It would keep us in touch and keep us accountable. I have been at a "plateau"for 2 months and have gotten a fill Im at 8 ccs. I have restriction in the am but it loosens as the day progresses,, Im a bit worried about getting another fill cause I dont want to get so tight that I have any problems (Im self pay) so .... I think if someone doesnt want to put a number in thats ok, just put a post on how you are doing for the week ,, It would keep us all in touch.....

I'm game. Point me in the right direction and I'll participate. (Of course this is a good week, having broken that darned plateau, so I'm willing.)

Although the thread was talking about weight, I just thought I would add exercise. I had committed to adding walking 3X a week to my exercise regime. Last night was once...2 more times to go this week.

And I walked last night as well...so 2X this week, once more to meet my committment.

So ... what day will be our day of weigh-in and posting our weeks achievement??

shiny/skinny (hee hee), 3 pounds down - WOW!!! Way to go:w00t::) Even immediately post-op I never lost that kind of weight; I was strictly a one-half, 3/4 of a pound loser...until this freakinfrackin plateau!

typo - if I see another one, I'm leaving it!!

I weigh in every week (and only once a week!) and would be up for it. Like most, I seem to plateau, get a fill, lose a bunch, plateau, repeat...I'm ok with it, as long as its plateau, and not going up !!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
