Sadly, although the weight is coming off (slowly) and the exercise is helping the rest of my body, my arms are still endowed with batwings. However, as the journey isn't over yet, perhaps this too will change.

My arms <spit> Lawdy my arms <spit> being fat they were large but I am SHOCKED at the condition they are in, at this rate I may get surgery on my arms before my tummy! I knew things would not be pretty as I dropped the weight but Lawdy mercy!

Laurinda--and of course, we live in FL where you can wear sleeveless almost all year round! With my arms, I may move to Minnesota!

(of course, on a good windy day, I just spread my arms and aim for where I want to travel. Lift off! I am saving so much $$ on gas!)

(To my Jewish sisters, my own sister calls them Hadassah Arms!)

I guess I better join a gym now!! My arms have been my biggest concern through this entire process ( I have already started saving for plastic surgery!) It does make me feel better to know though that weight training will help with some of it. Good luck everyone!

Hey all! I am getting banded in almost a month. I am a little nervous about wha tmy body will look like once the weight is gone. Primarily - I am worried about my arms! LOL! I know it seems trival with losing weight - but I would hate to lose this weight - FINALLY - and still have my arm jiggle. Has anyone noticed that their arms get smaller without needing plastic surgery? And if you have had plastic surgery - wpuld you recommend it?

I think everyone is going to have a different experience. I know mine will never look like Boo Boo's. Hers did not look bad even when she was heavy (heavier than I am now pre-op). My arms are going to look awful and the plastic surgery they do on them still leaves a long ugly mark. I guess we have to weigh all the options.

AWWWW thanks! I beg to differ with you that they weren't bad before, but I appreciate it!

I think with the RIGHT PS it could get better but I think you have to be very careful, believe me with all of my PS problems I am the last one to advocate surgery! lol...

Good luck to you all!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
