Doggone scales just will not move. I am maxed out on exercise I am willing to do and have been on a low cal diet (1000cal) and don't need a fill. Just started with a personal trainer so am hopeful the scales will start moving soon.

they will dont give up!! I just wish I had the gumption to even start exercising... sigh I am such a slacker...:rolleyes2:

Thanks, MollyJo, for the encouragement. Everytime I try to rest for a few seconds the trainer won't let me, it is pretty comical. I, too, am a slacker,LOL!!! She gives homework assignments too!!!!

Cholesterol was 220 on my last blood test. I know all the meats, eggs and cheese we eat is probably not cholesterol friendly. I need to commit to exercise, that would help.

Hey gals and guys, at first exercise seems so evil and believe me I never understood ow people said, exercise gives you energy. I would leave the gym and say "where the heck is the energy everyone talks about"?

A month after beginning my exercise, I arrived home after a 90 minute cardio session and my mom says, "woman shut up". I was talking a mile a minute, this is when I realized wow I have energy NOW. I havent lost my mojo since November 2008.

I think I will reach my goal of an 125 pound weight loss by my bandiversary. I am scared nervous and excited because the test will come years later when I hope to continue my new lifestyle.

I know you are right about the energy. Been there in the past but can not seem to get started. I always find an excuse to put it off for another day.

I am so proud of you for losing so much and staying on track! You are a fab example for everyone. I think your new life is well established now and you have the mojo to continue forever.

Congrats!!!!

THANKS EVERYONE for the kind advise on the hair. I will try the B complex. I do need to be better on making sure I get my 60-70 grams of Protein.

You all are doing so well. I too am LOVIN' the down sizing. I've slowed down, but still fill great! I can't wait to be in a 10. I'm in a tight 14. So, I'm working on it.

Skinnydippn42 - Thats great you go to a dietian. They can help keep you on track. I have a hard time with the head hunger vs stomach hunger. :)

NRPNRP - You go Lady!!! You are knockin on the door to your goal. That's great.:)

That KARENK for the advise.

Thanks for the kind words. You have done a terrific job. You will get there soon enough.

Maintenance has always been a tough one for me. This is a whole new ball game though so I am confident.

CONGRATS on meeting your goal! Woo hoo!!!!!!!!

About hair, when you lose weight, it changes your body hormones and can cause that temporarily (like after pregnancy). I did hear Biotin helps. I cut my hair short and have no problems!

I went to see my band doc yesterday and he thinks I'm doing great. I've had two fills. I lost 10 lbs in the past 6 weeks and he expects a less than a pound a week loss at this point. I'm happy losing no matter how quick!! I don't go back for 12 weeks now...

I am LOVING walking/running in organized runs. Money always goes to a good cause and it is a great incentive to MOVE. The last one raised money for nature conservation and was on a road running through a state park (woods). Try it if you haven't! The longest one I did was a 10 miler the morning after my first grandson was born and I had been on my feet all day!! It was worth it though .

Hugs,

Anne

NRPNRP - U R AWESOME!!!

Army Mom - That's great on the run. i love it myself. Thanks for the tips on the hair. Can you tell me what you eat on an average day? I was banded 1 day before you and have only lost 36 lbs since. Little frustrated, but no regrets.

Hey all -

I hit one-derland today. Stepped on the clinic scale and it read 199!

I know I have more to go (more than my ticker claims, but I wanted to set a reasonable goal), but I feel really good! And happy!

Hope everyone is doing well.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
