The clinic I went through ordered the Optifast and had it sent to my house.

I didn't drink much of it as it was irritating to my stomach. I am lactose intolerant and they didn't tell me Optifast had some milk fat in it until I let them know how much it was making me sick. They then told me I could drink whatever Protein drink I wanted if it had a high Protein content and not just something like slim fast or carnation instant Breakfast that had lots of carbs.

Good luck on your pre-op diet and surgery.

Stephanie

Hi , my wife found the Optifast for me on ebay , but I found that the optislim tasted a lot better . I am not sure if optislim is available in the USA but ebay is a good bet to find either one at a good price , I have lost 47 kilos in 18 months since being banded, the best thing I have ever done.....good luck regards...... paul

hi check online at any pharmacy, call walgreens, they have it online. or ask them to order it for you. trust me the doctor office can be expensive that,s why they want you to spend so much money. i know it is worth it if you have the money, but yes chech the pharmacy either online or give them a call.

I've only been able to buy Optifast through my doctor or on Ebay. If your doctor wants to do Optifast pre-op, the office should be able to order it for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
