Just got my insurance approval! My Drs. office called and set up September 8 for my LapBand! I can't wait!:biggrin:

Tomorrow is my surgery day!!! :smile: It's a little scary but I'm excited to see what change this will make in my life. Keep me in your prayers and thoughts tomorrow.

Hi!....My surgery is scheduled for Sept. 15! What, if any, pre-diet does your Dr. have you on? Are you getting excited........I am very excited!

my pre op diet is for 2 weeks all i can eat is chicken fish and green veg what pre op diet u on? hope all goes well with ur surgery xx

Just got my phone call on Friday that I will be getting banded on Sept. 15th!!! I start the VLCD on Sept 1st which is worrying me, I've heard it is a struggle. I've made it through several addictions so I'm sure I can make it through two weeks of shakes. I even get a Low-Cal, Low-Carb, Low- Sugar snack in between the 3 "shakes".

They just said "The Atkins Diet"....As I remember that from years ago it was meat, poultry....some veggies, some cheese and that was about it :frown: NOTHING white was a biggie!.....:smile:

What I do NOT understand is that some people on this site and the 2 others I visit have no pre-op diet.....guess it depends on your Dr..........Here we go, girlfriend!...............

I am feeling very blessed because my insurance approved me in less than two weeks. I am scheduled for surgery on September 25, 2008. The one question I need answered is about how long are people off work? I need best and worst case scenario.

He good luck to you tomorrow! You will do awesome! I hope we see each other sometime at Dr. Curry's office! Let us know how it went when you get out of surgery. My date is Sept. 9. We'll be praying for you!

You are SOOOOO lucky to be able to be on this pre op diet. I am so SICK of Medifast I could throw up!!!

After reading about some of these other pre-op diets, I think I'll give my doctor a big hug next time I see him! lol

Hi I'm Inan from CHicago and I am scheduled for surgery on 9/10 with Dr Jeffery Rosen. I love his group. They treat each person as an individual. They really seem to care. I am on day 6 of a 14 day medifast pre-op diet. They are powdered meals, shakes, soups, pudding, eggs and oatmeal. I add a little spice to them and they are pretty good. They are a high protein, low calorie, low fat meal plan.
