Needing a slight UNFILL BAD!! But scared to gain weight back!!
I had a major unfill several months ago and I have NO desire to be filled again. Although I have been unfilled 2cc's, I still sometimes get stuck because my band tightens at time. Anytime I have had a fast food burger, I don't enjoy them at all so I don't waste my time or money. The most I eat at a fast food restaurant is Wendy's chili and most of the time it's because I've been on the run and it's easy to eat while driving and full of protein or I'll have a cone from McDonalds.

Lost 39 pounds(!!) but I don't get it?
Once you have been working out both cardio and strength training, you will begin to notice more evident changes in clothing. Hang in there. It doesn't happen overnight. Congrats on the weight loss thus far.

Weight Plateau- what to do?
@jr don't forget to increase your cardio. That will do it!

Weight Plateau- what to do?
I will tell you what my trainer tells me; increase the incline on the treadmill and increase the speed. I walk on the treadmill at an incline of 7 at a speed of 3.2. I feel it in my butt and hips. An hour of cardio per day and at least strength 3x per week.

do YOU snack?
YES! I most certainly snack. Because of the fact that those of us who are restricted are only able to eat small amounts, I believe it is important that we not allow ourselves to become ravenous! I eat a small snack in between meals if it's no more than celery with peanut butter or laughing cow cheese, whole grain tortilla with natural peanut butter and sliced bananas or a serving of cottage cheese with a peach, pear or pineapple. My only recommendation is that it be well proportioned with complex carbs and protein and make it healthy. The idea is to eat frequently to prevent hunger pangs, and to keep your energy levels consistent which in turn will increase and speed up your metabolism.

Why is this happening???
Last night I had salad and a vegetable/barley mix, nothing out of the ordinary. It sat in my pouch uncomfortably for hours causing me to have to sit up in a chair all night. Today, I've had very few calories which isn't good because I am working out so much. I had something as simple as crackers with hummus that made me feel sick and then for dinner a small hamburger with mixed vegetables that made me feel sick as well. My NP has taken .5 cc's out, then 1 cc and I don't remember the 3rd one. I actually felt alright for the first few weeks and then all at once I am too tight again. It's unexplainable and quite frustrating to say the least.

Why is this happening???
I have had 3 unfills due to being too tight. I get the unfill and I feel fine for a moment and then, all of a sudden I'm too tight again. I am now experiencing this for the 4th time and it's quite frustrating. Why does the band just tighten for no apparent reason? It leaves me feeling so sick and miserable, although I haven't vomited. If anyone else has experienced this, please explain some possible reasons and/or solutions.

Where do you buy your food/nutritional supplements?
My trainer has a protein powder that has 56 grams of protein per serving. I got it from the Health Spot but you can get it from www.oznutrition.com. It tastes really good too. I also purchased a whole food vitamin from the Health Spot called "New Chapter Supplements for Women" New Chapter. They also have them for Men. I also buy their fish oil. I have NO trouble taking any of these products.

Great Food Finds
Is this in the frozen food section? What is the sodium count?
-
Fage 0% - what do you mix in?
Greek yogurt is the best. It is not the same as regular plain yogurt. The protein you get in greek yogurt is not going to be the same in regular plain yogurt. Fage 0% has 20 grams of protein per 8 oz. low fat Dannon yogurt has 11 grams of protein per serving, not bad but the greek is so much better. Put and assortment of fresh berries in it, a little agave nectar and some walnuts and you have a meal. I love it!

Rollercoaster rides and the band??

Opinions on Shapewear Please
I do wear shapewear and have for a long time. I am just now relaxing a bit but was approached by someone wanting to fit me in a Body Magic shapewear. Does anyone have it and if so what is your opinion of it? She told me there is no obligation to buy after the free fitting but that although I've lost weight, this would make a huge change in my appearance. I'm going to do the fitting and compare the before and after by pictures so that I can really see the difference.

Dropping clothing sizes??
After 1 year I honestly do not remember how much I lost before I started reducing clothing sizes. What I can tell you is I started at a 22/24 and am now in a 14 comfortably and looking forward to going down to a 12 soon. You must exercise and reduce calories and be patient with the loss of weight and inches. Do this consistently and watch it fall off. There will be plateaus, so being patient is important. It's a great feeling though when you start reducing clothing sizes and it provides extra motivation.

3 months post-op
Do you feel any restriction? You want food to go down, but it's the amount you want restricted. How much are you eating at a time? If you're not getting a full sensation at all, sounds like you need another fill. Hope this helps.

What are the top three things that have made you successful with the Lap Band?...
Determination to succeed, portion control and exercise! I LOVE my band!

Great Food Finds
I am soooo with you on this. I have many times been on the go and going through the drive thru at Wendy's for chili is the easiest thing to do and it's easily eaten while driving.

How fast?
I'm 14 months post op and have lost almost 75lbs. It takes time. Exercise and eat right and you'll notice results. Don't get so hung up on the "number" but how your clothes feel.
-
PLEASE tell me if you've experience this and what you did?
I have had 2 slight unfills. The most recent one I thought was perfect until over a month later when all of a sudden eating a drinking have become uncomfortable. I gurgle and make all kinds of internal noises that are uncontrolable and embarrassing to say the least. Has anyone else experienced this and what happened when you saw you Dr.?

SOOOO Disgusting!
Gross...but at least it was yours and not someone elses.

How often do you weigh yourself?
I weigh daily! I know it's not good, but it helps keep me motivated whether I see loss or gain. One thing I have realized though is the number doesn't really matter as much as how your clothes fit. Although I still register a 200+ weight, I am in between a size 14/16. That's a great feeling from a size 22/24.

does anyone regret having the surgery over losing weight on there own?
Losing the weight on our own would have been a great accomplishment but that's just one piece of the puzzle, you must keep it off and that's why I do not regret having the surgery AT ALL!!! I would do it all over again and certainly wished I had done it much sooner than I did.
