  1. Oh honey I am so sorry to hear that. I remember when we started this journey. I wish you much success in this struggle!
  2. Hi Guys! about 4 weeks ago I went in for a fill. I didn't feel like it gave me the restriction that I wanted so I went back alst week for a fill. I got .5 cc i was able to drink before I left. I was even able to eat and drink very small amounts the following two days. I increased my exercise and my protein. However, around 3-4 days after the fill I couldn't keep anything down and my breathing was painful! I waited out the weekend and on Monday I went to the DR. ASAP!!!!!!!! I had loat 14lbs in 6 days:) but I was definitely too tight:( So I got that last .5cc taken out and have felt better ever since. My biggest fear is gaining that weight back. I am in wonderland and about 20-25lbs away from goal! What should I do? This is the first time since I've been banded that I feared gaining any weight back...
  3. Thanks! I'm always up a few pounds around that time of the month...no worries, it'll be ok.
  4. Hey SAMUARAI! I've lost 70lbs since surgery. The Dr. says that's great bu I am soooo hard on myself. I went to get a fill 3 weeks ago (1/4 cc) and have lost 3lbs. I was lucky enough to get squeezed in today and asked for another fill because I wasn't satidfied. Wish granted and they gave be another 1/2 cc. Yay! I was thinking another 45-50 lbs to goal but the nurse pract. said about 30 more lbs. Cann you believe that? We'll see. At least it gives me a short term goal.
  5. @Kiz-Thanks so much for the encouragement @Sistergirl-Wowweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  6. Hi all, I haven't posted to this thread in a looonnggg time-too long. I have lost 50lbs this year and I hope to lose 50 more. I know that's slow for some but I am ok with it, at least I was. Now I'm ready to start losing some serious weight. At least 15 lbs by the holidays. I know I can do it. I haven't had a fill for almost 6 mos. I think that will be my first step.
  7. You all are whiners I'm the WINNER
  8. Silly posters! That was not the real trophy. It was simply a decoy planted by me -The Winner. The real trophy is safely hidden....ha ha haha :sinister laugh:
  9. Hi slinky! If you have an iphone or ipod touch you can download it from the itunes store. In the search box type in couch 2 5k. once the page loads click on the app by felt tip inc. (the icon is a brown box with a white 5k) It's only $1.99
  10. I just dowloaded an awesome couch 2 5k app on my iphone that charts your days on the screen. It also allows you to listen to your own music and interrupts with verbal cues.
  11. First post Last post
  12. I equate getting on bhe scales with that of playing a slot machine at the Silver Star. I'm all like "come on red white and blue 7s!"
  13. I hold my nose and drink mine!
  14. Chantel: Don't go into the light! It's trying to suck you in! Girlfriend, you have a right to post your opinion without being subjected to personal attacks. Sometimes you just have to ignore it. They'll find another target or stick up for each other's posts. It still amazes me that as a group of people that have been ridiculed or discriminated against because of our weight, there are some among us that have the audacity to be hateful towards others. The mere fact that some on this rant think that another person's death is good makes me want to pb and start sliming. I guess the band restricts the stomach and not the asshole.:tongue2:
  15. Zaxby's salads are yummy. Bread is a turn off for me so I don't do burgers and fries. Taco bell pintos n cheese or cheesy potatoes go down ok.
  16. I just wanted to pop in to say hello to everyone. I haven't posted in a while and I feel like I need this accountability. Especially in the lazy days of summer. Any encouragement would be appreciated. Congrats to everyone you all are doing so well. Jason as always, you are the truth brother!
  17. Dr. Schmitt is my surgeon as well. My experience with him has been great.
  18. I pray that what I am about to post does not sound as hateful as the original poster and his/her followers but to say good riddance to a life that God created is evil! Since life is that insignificant that we can't shed a tear or at least feel saddened when it is lost, then why try to preserve or extend your own or its quality through lap band surgery? What if your surgeon or insurance company said good riddance? Every life is to be valued and please be very careful of the Karma that you send out when you think that another person's death is "good." Please remember that you have loved ones. Suffering is always bad and karma is always a bitch... Rest in Peace M.J. and may God smile upon the good that you did for so many people.
  19. Hi ladies! My first fill was 6 weeks post -op and I could not weight (pun intended). It's tough because you start getting hungry and begin to test ther waters trying new foods. Good luck and hang in there
