  1. I've had the acid and liquid coming up for months now. My doctor has taken out all but 2cc of my 10cc band and I still get the liquid coming up. I'm going in Tuesday for an Upper GI and I'm also going to ask my Dr to remove the last 2cc's. I can't seem to gain any weight in addition to this acid/liquid problem. I've also been getting pain in my stomach whenever I eat, so therefore I don't want to eat. Not good, since I only weigh 106 right now. I am thrilled to have lost as much weight as I have (118lbs) but I am just too skinny now. How weird to be able to say that after 15mos. But I feel weak and I think I look like crap. I don't want to get my band removed, but I would love to feel good and sleep through the night.
  2. I had my last fill about a month ago and all has been fine until this past week. I stupidly tried to swallow an Iron pill and it got stuck. I was able to get it out, but since then, I know I've caused swelling around my band, because I can't keep Water down. Does anyone know how long this will last? I will have to call the Dr if it doesn't subside soon.. I love my water! (I was banded in Sept 08 and have lost 62 lbs so far.. )
  3. I was banded on the 24th and was back to work on the 29th. I was feeling well enough on the 29th too.. I did wear loose fitting pants for the 1st week. The thought of something tight around my port area was just something I wasn't ready to experience! Today was the 1st day I wore my regular pants and they were ok, until later in the afternoon... back to my loose ones tomorrow! I'm so sick of the liquid diet and I agree with you, Sash, this is NOT the easy way out! I am so looking forward to the mushies (hate that word too).. just a few more days and I'll be there. Good luck to everyone out there!!
  4. Thanks too Big Momma!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to join us soon!

  8. Good luck to you Cleo's Mom! My big day is Wed the 24th. I had a hysterectomy in 2005 and recovered well from that too..so like you, I think we'll be ok with this. It took me 9 months to get here, so I'm really excited! A bit nervous too, I must admit.. but more excited. Sending happy thoughts and prayers your way!!
  9. I'm getting banded on the 24th too.. I can't wait!!! !!! !!!
