First fill with Realize band went very well!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I had my first fill today. I was banded May 9th with the Realize band. The fill went very well. I had to do the leg lift while he poked me with that big ole needle. I didn't have to drink any Water or anything else. Just lift, stick, fill, goodbye. It was really a cinch. I have 3 cc's.

I drank about half of a small smoothie on the way home. I wasn't hungry afterward, but not sure if that has anything to do with the band or just happy to have something in my starving body. About 4 hours later, I began to feel hungry, so I had a Low Carb Slim Fast and I'm now sipping water. I am on liquids for 2, pureed for 2, soft for 5. I think this is going to be much more difficult than the few days after surgery when I wasn't hungry at all and it took all day to drink half a bottle of water or Protein Shake.< /p>

I sure hope this leads to some positive results because i've gained a few pounds this week.

Good job getting through your fill. I'll be anxious to see how you like your new band. I have an old one and am interested to see how your weight loss and restriction goes.

I was banded on May 20, I also have the Realize band, and I had my 1st fill on June 23, 4 days ago, he put 5.5 cc's in mine, and I have NO restriction at all! I can eat as much as I ever did, although I do use self control, but as far as PB'ing, sliming, and other signs of feeling full, nothing. I had an appt to go back on July 14th, but I called this morning, and told them, and so now I am going back on the 30th of June and have more saline put in. I hope it works, because this thing only has a 9 cc capacity, and I am already over half filled, maybe all I need is a half, or 1 cc to make me notice a difference. Sure hope so.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
