Some fonts, especially the script fonts come through in teeeeeeeny tiny size. I am on a 21" flat screen LCD monitor, and it come through dang near impossible to see with my poor old eyes!!!!

froggi, I'm wondering if your hormone levels are within a normal range. Depending on the amount of weight you have to lose, you may be experiencing some unusual Hair growth, among other issues, that will be resolved as your weight comes down. Anyway, that's just a thought. I know the doctor mentioned at the lap band seminar that some women who thought they had gone through menopause, had actually just had weight related menstrual issues, and found themselves fertile after weight loss. :)

I don't get chinny chin chin hairs yet, but I do get some a little under my chin. Also have to pluck the 'stache. I have the most embarrassing story to share:

Sometimes I have hairs that will reattach themselves other places (mainly my back). I had a massage last week and afterwards I went clothes shopping. I noticed that I had a 2 inch hair (dark too) coming out of my shoulder blade area. I'm sure that poor girl though I was some kind of beasty woman or sumthin...So embarrasing!:)

Froggi-

Have you ever talked to your GYN about being screened for PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)? It's very common when you're overweight, since estrogen is stored in fat. It can cause your hormones to get all whacked out.

One of the telltale signs is abnormal hair growth - esp. on your face.

I can't remember, but didn't you write about your periods being weird, too? That's another one of the hallmarks. I've had PCOS for a really long time (I had to do fertility treatments to get pregnant with both my kids because it caused me to stop ovulating all together), but since I've lost weight, my periods have become significantly more regular.

Oh, and it can also go hand in hand with insulin resistance. Which, actually, can make weight loss more difficult. If it turns out that you do have PCOS, your doctor might end up giving you a trial dosage of metformin. I know that when I tried it, I did lose some weight (it didn't do what they were trying to get it to do - fertility stuff - so I stopped taking it).

Here's a link about it.

Just a thought...

Oh heavens yes. It started with one hair that dark and longer then the rest. I started plucking it. After a while I would just pluck it while being on the computer something I regret now. Which lead to getting other hairs accidently and well over the last 15 years lets say now I have to shave or delapidate(sp?) almost as much hair as my BF does. LOL. I just don't get the 5 o'clock shadows. And I can go 2-3 days in between.

I've often thought of waxing but I know I couldnt do my upper lip I can't even tweese there. But I could the rest of my face. I sneeze alot when plucking my right eyebrows lol.

But my BF and I think that I should either start waxing or get one of those parafin wax things they now sell for joint pain. Not for the facial hair but the dang clogged pores & blackheads I seem to get horribly on my inner thighs & underside of my arms. cause normal washing/showering don't help and I can't get down in a bathtub to soak.

I do know the best masks I used to use ages ago had wax in them would litterly pull the crap out of my pores but you just can't find those anymore.

I haven't been tested for it yet, because they told me my periods were just from my weight but I dunno, I might get tested soon. Will have to bring it up. How do they test for it

I freakin' hate these dark stiff hairs I get on my chin!!!! I am 22 why do I get these stupid things! I had them in highschool too. Whenever I see or FEEL one coming I PLUCK them right then and there. They are soooooooo annoying.:frown:

Please tell me I am not the only female with this problem:blushing:...especially considering I'm a blonde, why do I get these brownish/blackish stiff things.:confused2::biggrin:

Since, we've sort of ventured off topic to font size, I'll put in my two cents..lol I just copied and pasted your first post, froggi (that's the only one that came across incredibly small for me, and it's Garamond size 1. It's also a light gray color which, when tiny, makes it harder to see.

Now, here's my wish: I WISH IT WERE THAT EASY TO BECOME A SIZE ONE!! JUST HIT A BUTTON AND SWOOSH!!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
