The Worst Part of Having Lap Band!

Recommended Posts

Well, I don't think that drinking with meals or sucking on ice in any way actaully can hurt the band. i was told by my doctor that the reason u cant drink with meals is...the liquid causes the food to exist the small pouch, then you will not get feel for a long time. and u will be hungry again quickly after eating. drinking with meals completely defeats the purpose of the band.

Hi, I am scheduled for surgery on June 20th. Lap-band. I am excited

I to have problems with drinking with food. I love pop and they said I should not have carbonated beverages. Do you drink pop?

To lolipopked...I did drink alot of soda...but it is a small price to pay for such a change. I had lap band 2 years & 2 months ago... I have lost 145 pounds and I feel great...now about once every 2 or 3 weeks I will drink about a half of a can of soda...I will pour it over ice and let the carbination die down a little. BUt you will be suprised it really isnt a craving anymore and there are so many sodas I think taste gross now. You can do it...and it is worth it!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
