Did you gain any weight in the midst of your change?? And since your bigger band, have you lost weight? I ask because I had the smaller band for 2 yrs, with 80 lb weight loss. I then slipped, gained 25 lbs and had the larger band placed in march or april of this year. i have no lost a single freaking lb, I am soooooooo pissed and hate this new surgeon! Now I am pregnant so I am for sure going to gain, which is ok, Ijust want my baby to be ok but I am soscared considering I havent lost anything since this new band was placed, I dont think I will lost after the baby.....what do you think??

Wow, congrats on EVERYTHING. I was banded 2 yrs ago, only lost 80 lbs in 2 yrs and then had to be rebanded due to slippage. I had the new band in March/April of this year an have not lost a single freaking lb. I am now pregnant! I am so excited but so scared to gain weight. PLease keep me updated!!!

I can totally understand.....I had lost 80 lbs, had to have my band replaced due to slippage so i gained back 25...then got pregnant. I am sooo scared to lose. I have not lost a single freaking lb since my surgery which was in April. I am leaving my fill in at this point until I go to my first app in 2 weeks. What did your OB say about the band>>

Ummmm I drink tons with my food, I initially lost 80 lbs, then my band slipped, I gained 25 and I was just rebanded in April. I am starting TOMORROW not to drink wtih my food cause I have to freaking lose. Im going NUTS!

I have lost about .2-.3 cc''s with every fill./ I would inquire about losing 3, there could be a reason!

Ok so I had a slippage, got a new band, this one is the 10cc band. So, now my question is, what seems to be other peoples sweet spot?? I have had 2 fills, now at 5.5cc's and I still seem to have NO restriction...whats up withat that?? I am actually GAINING weight, this is horrible and I really need some positivity in my life right now!!! Please let me know when and where I can expect to start this weight loss again....I know, everyone is different but I would like to get others opinions!! :cursing:

Well please keep me up to date! I was scheduled to have my band removed/replaced on May 13th. However, it ended up slipping more 2 weeks ago and I could not even keep water down so I have emergent sugery done on Monday April 28th. I have since been to get my first fill. I am at 4.5 cc's and have NO restriction at all!! I have not experienced one episode of heart burn, vomiting, nothing since my surgery :hurray: I have, however, had this really weird pain in my upper left quadrant. It hurts like hell. Almost feels like when you run and get that side pain. I went for a barrium swallow and he says its GAS! I have never in my life had gas pains like this before. New problem I guess. :cry_smile: Hahahah. I do have hopes though, Im calling today to go for another fill!! That should help, Im ready to lose cause at this point, IM GAINING :hurray: Please keep me filled in, I want to know how things go for you and if you need anything, let me know!!

Ok, I am soooo confused! This story is a bit complicated but I will try to get it across! I was banded in Jan 06, I started having severe heartburn in May 06, has cont up until today. I lost 80 lbs in the first year, have stayed at that since (so lost nothing for 1 yr) I am totally not at goal. I went on a mission trup last month so I had all my fluid removed, I went today to get a fill and told them about my severe indigestion continuing. They did a barrium swallow, said I had a medium slipage and I needed to be rebanded within the next 2 weeks. I asked him if we could try to leave the fluid out and he said it will not correct itself. The problem I see here is this dr is not the same dr that put it in and they actually do not like each other. What if he is just "using" me as another example of how the first screwed up. What do youall think I should do? There are no other drs in my area. He did take all my fluid out....what should I be eating to try to make it heal itself? I dont know if my insurance will pay. If they wont, Im really screwed. PLEASE HELP!

As a registered ER nurse, this task would be simple on another body. To do it on myself would be particulary difficult but in a pinch, I would definetely do it!

:help: Ok, Im new to this group and I really hope someone out there can help me! I went 2 weeks ago to get a fill. I had to have 4/10ths removed awhile ago due to severe acid reflux, which then went away. This time, they only put half of what they took out back in, which was fine with me. Well, I did great the first week. The past 3-4 days, I have been awake almost all night with this severe coughing. Coughing so hard that I spit up phlegm, which I figured was aspirated into my lungs. Last night, I slept all night but woke up at 6am with the coughing. Should I just try liquids for a couple days (which I am HORRIBLE at complying too!) Or call my doctor?? Thanks soo much. Angie
