Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes We are doing well My hope is that this thread has helped or at least made aware some of the more sublime aspects of this surgery. I have learned one important lesson in this . I did not listen to my wife closely enough and I was not appreciative enough of all she did when I was not home. I took for granted all she did and that is a regret I will always have. Life is so precious and when it is gone it makes you see what you were missing. I have learned to take each day for what it gives you. I wish all the best for everyone on this board and I hope you cherish what you have. I still do not have the final death certificate but I will keep you posted.

Peter

Thank you for keeping in touch with us Peter. I am sure you know that she deeply struggled with the decisions she faced. She faced her uncertainty with courage, grace, and dignity. There isn't a day I don't think of her and realize just how blessed I am. I sincerely appreciate your open mindedness about the surgery and hope that you will be able to find strength in her spirit because she lives on in this forum as a reminder to everyone what we all face. Thank you for all your time to post Peter.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
